does the speed of downloading/playing really change even when used in a psp. . .
I was looking for a high memory memory stick, maybe I'll get one of these. . .

Anyone know how this compares to a regular sandisk 4gig speedwise?

Hey I Got One of These. Great Space. Great Speed. But I Dont Have Another Mem Stick To Compare it Too. So I Really Cant Tell If Its Faster.

Post is a little old, but what the heck. The speed refers to how quickly you will be able to transfer info onto the cards, not how it works in your PSP. here's a link for $60 price link

I still don't see why the speed of a memory stick I use for the PSP is so important. As long as it is fast enough for music and movies, I don't sit and watch the transfers of files to and from it.

It's quite important IMO!
If you have the PSP connected thru USB and and transferring files that way, USB will be the bottleneck. But transferring files directly to the card thru a card reader, the extra speed is really nice
I have this 4GB Ultra II card and it is noticeable faster compared to my old sanDisk 1GB card... so go for this card instead of the red "Gaming Memory Stick" !edited: Mar 01 2007

There's not much point in me getting a highspeed card, when I only have USB 1.1 and no card slots
+
whats the diff in the downloading?
+
None of course. Only speed difference will be when transferring files directly to the card.
