It seems like some vendors are selling two versions of Logitech PlayGear Case:
Mfr Part #970160-0403 Product name: LOGITECH PLAYGEAR POCKET-PSP POLYCARBONATE CASE Price: $15 approx.
Mfr Part #970161-0403 Product name: LOGITECH PLAYGEAR STREET-PSP POLYCARBONATE CASE Price: $20 approx.
Aside from the price, there's only 1 number difference in Mfr Part #. Does anyone know if there's anything different between the two?
Here are some sites where I found this at:
eCost link
TechnoWeb link
Neutron Express link

Sorry for the multiple posts. When I tried to edit my previous posted one, it keeps putting up a new post. ^^;
Anyway, regardling the Logitech Playgear Street, I think it will come out much later than the Logitech Playgear Pocket since Logitech does not even have any information about it on their Web site.
Here are two more sites, I found that will be selling the Playgear Street:
TechDepot -
link
PCMall - link
I am sure there are other stores that have this item listed as well. This is a real item. Hopefully, there will be a picture and also a review of it soon. ^^

Phil916,
If you want to protect your PSP screen in the meanwhile, try getting the Hori screen protector. It's about $5. I planned to use this one in conjuction with the Logitech Playgear Pocket. Many have been giving Hori a thumbs up. Just be aware that there are 2 versions of Hori, one is the regular screen protector and the other is one has privacy filter. Get the regular one, the privacy filter one is not as good. As a warning, be sure to read tips (google search) on how to apply the Hori properly. Many people apply it incorrectly (or used the wrong screens...) and got poor result. If done right however, screen will look clear with no bubbles. Just thought to mention it to you.
BTW: For those who wants the Logitech Playgear Pocket, currently TechDepot seems to have some in stock, priced at $13.95. Shipping is however $6.56. Or if you can wait, buy it local. It should be retail for around $19.99.

this is a great case. it doesnt hold any games but you'll feel safe with this bad boy on your psp. i suggest getting a screen protector like the pelican one or the hori one. it really is great.

Yes, it looks like PCMall has updated their Web site with a picture of the Logitech Playgear Street today. Too bad it's just one pic and it looks to be an illustration too. Hm.. Can't really tell much. It seems to be a Playgear Pocket style case (Maybe hard case? or soft case cover over Playgear Pocket?) with a shoulder strap. I wonder if the 4 UMDs and memory sticks will be stored within the same case or maybe the shoulder straps will have 'zipped pockets' for them? If it's store within the case, I hope it will not end up making it look to too bulky and thick. Picture does look pretty slick though.
BTW: Just recieved my Playgear Pocket today. I have ordered it (2 of them in fact, one for my brother and the other for me ^^) from TechDepot link on early Sat. 4/16 morning and got it today. I have to say it is a very very nice case. Possibly the best PSP case ever! ^^ This is a must have for those that are putting their PSPs in their pocket or backpack. I am not going to go too much in detail about it, since there are so many reviews posted already here at PSP411. Anyway, I hope you will not have to wait too long for your Logitech Playgear Street, Phil (that is if you have decided to wait for it). I ordered the Playgear Pocket over the Street version because I do not see myself needing the street version. I am very pleased with the purchase.

it doesn't screw on to the psp at all - in fact your psp will fall out if you tilt it over too much - for what's it worth - it's still a good case, but they could have added some type of screw on to keep it secure

If you screwed it into the PSP, it would be really hard to change UMDs. They'd have to rework the design more than a tweak.

After trying the Logitech PlayGear Pocket case for several days, I am going to have to lower my rating on it a little bit. I agreed with NinoBee, in that the PlayGear Pocket case is a loose fit for the PSP. If you tilt it over too much, yes, the PSP can fall out. I however, do not agree with the suggestion of improvement to Logitech by adding screws to the case to secure the PSP better. If that was the case, it would be troublesome for users to have to remove the screws each time they want to change UMDs or take out the PSP. I think it would work better with more padding being added, or better yet, some silicon linings (or other kind of padding materials) that will give PSP a 'snug' fit after sliding/popping it in place inside the case. Maybe even some Velcro/elastic bands would of help a bit. My brother has used 2 of the 4 black oval pads that held the PlayGear Pocket while it was inside the plastic wrapping. He put those inside the PlayGear Pocket case. It seems to help a little bit in securing the PSP. I guess a little improvement is better than nothing. ^^ Oh yeah, he also have drilled/punched a tiny hole through only the black case lining, placed right above the 'Power On' light. This is done so he can still see the green Power On light coming from within the case if it's closed and the PSP happened to still be on. My brother had one time accidentally left his PSP on inside the closed case and did not even know of it. Now, he would be able to tell if his PSP is still on at a glance. (This is faster than having to reopen the case and check each time. Not sure if some of you know. Opening the case can be quite tricky).
Another thing that I dislike about the case also is the size. This thing is bigger than I expected. I thought it would be 'slimmer' based on the first picture above. But no, it's big, thick, & bulky... And adding to that, it's kind of heavy too. Logitech could have made this case thinner. This is definitely not comfortable for small hands on long use. And I do have some hands. If you have big hands, you probably won't mind it as much.
Anyway, I just wanted to pinpoint some things that Logitech could improve on. The Logitech PlayGear Pocket is still a nice case though. The polycarbonate plastic the case is made of is hard and doesn’t seem to break easily. The lining inside is not too bad, it however seem to be a bit on the thick side like the plastic that the case is made of. I was hoping to be able to use this as my ‘one and only’ case (I did not care for cases that can hold UMDs also in addition PSP). I guess, I am going to have to get a second case, and use this one as more of a travel/backpack ‘put PSP in and not have to worry about damaging it’ case .
For my next case, I will be getting a soft case, maybe those silicone ones. Like this, (except, I would prefer to have the silicone in clear color, black color, or other ‘full’ colors--like those for iPods--other than white color. The white does not look too good…Guess, going to have to wait for other colors *sighs*): link and here are other links of it link , link , link , and link . They are all the same case from Power Support, called ‘PSP Silicone Jacket’ (it comes with a highly praised screen protector and a cap for analog stick). The workmanship seems to be very high quality and it is a bit pricey (around $30 & up). Oh, for those that do not want to pay too much, here are some imitations: FlexiSkin link , other cheap imitations can be found at EBay. Note the difference in insertion cuts between the high quality and imitations, as well as the precision quality in the moldings for the buttons, speakers, etc. You do seem to get what you pay for . Guess, I should put this info under some PSP silicone case links, but thought to post this here too, for those looking for other case options as well. Good luck in finding the case that’s right for you. ^^
