The sequel begins in Pokke, a village headed by a female chief but the main setting is the snowy mountains around the village. But the gameplay areas extend to a forest, a desert, a volcano and a swamp.
If the snowy mountain area looks familiar it's because they were featured in Monster Hunter 2 (PS2). But unlike the PS2 title, Monster Hunter Portable 2 does not have its the day-night-season time flow system where conditions change as the game is played. The PSP version features quests taking place at set times of the day. Other PS2 elements carried over to the PSP's Monster Hunter Portable 2 includes the samurai blade, the hunting horn, and the long bow. Famitsu also mentioned wireless play and downloadable content but didn't provide the details.

how could you have beat it if your at rank 4? theres five ranks and a bunch of missions you dont unlock until your Hr5. your a lying sack of trash. Begone!

...you guys are weak iv played for 2000+++ hours and i have the game completed plus all weps all armor and all quests done and goten even treasure hunting quests i have a high score of around the marker for plates on two of them..the others i have almost it but not anof and one of them i have not anof to even say that its close i have all videos and yes there is NO prev of any other game but the intros of the games that are already out no mh2 video no mh3 video no mhf2 or even mh pc verson videos but it does unlock some red fatalis with out there being a video slot and blue lao ...blue lao is the same as red almost just blue red just kindof comes out of the volocano and dive bombs you....
ill prove it two but only once seeing as i dont play it much any more due to it being boareing after beating it so meny times 3ed time iv edited this thing trying to put down this....MONSTER HUNTER FREEDOM 2 IS NOT OUT YET AND ITS PAST THAT TIME.......MONSTER HUNTER FREEDOM 1 DIDNT EVEN COME OUT AT THAT TIME

jsg3, well i'm glad you beat the game, it gives you time to work on your spelling. pay attention in class instead of gaming and 2000+ hours isnt necessarily something to brag about.

Your language really does suck man ^^ I honestly have a really hard time understanding you...
Anyhow, the official Japanese website says February 22nd 2007 for Portable. Dunno about Freedom though - sadly haven't heard or read a thing.

I just think its embarrassing that you're supposed to be from the U.S. as well. i could understand if you weren't from here but you dont seem to have an excuse. also, could you point out what i misspelled?

ive played about 120 hours in mhf but am not trying to go through fast. im replaying missionss for fun. But how do you work the cannons in the Lao Shan quest? I know how to work the ballista but dont know how to load the cannons, whenever i get the cannons there i set them down and they break. Please help...

i dont think im going to buy this one it looks too much like mhf which im playing right now which is the by far the bes psp game i have and i have like 15 of them im going to get tekken dark resurection after mhf i might get it later when it drops to $20 even though it does look like a great game

300 hours in to the game hr6 and loads of stuff but i thort it was very easy to play and compleat thay have to make it better on the next one and allot harder coz atm it`s to easy elder dragons easy but some one should put there datter on here i can ent got a usb that fitts but if i get one ill put it on here well if u got a gd file like me put urs on here some day mine will be on here to
