This style of headphone is used in the UK alot, I to have a pair of sony one's for my i-pod mini. They do need a little getting used to them but give you a nice warm sound.
Any other headphones will plug into the psp, so until third party makers start plans for Remote control headphones, youll be stuck without a remote if youre using other headphones. These headphones look very comfortable, i use similiar earbuds from Jaba for my hands free and mp3 player and they should be better fitting than the standard psp headphones as i hear they are very discomforting.
Trust me guys, these earphones do NOT look crappy. If you look in the demo on the logitech site of the PlayGear PSP case [ link ], you can see that if the earphones are like what they show in the demo, they look VERY nice, and match the PSP perfectly. Check it out [ link ]. Go to the left, and click on "view the demo" and then wait for the introduction to finish (or you can skip it), then go to where it says "Music" in the demo window, and then check out the earbuds. Now come back seriously, and tell me those earbuds look bad. I'm getting this for sure along with the case.

I've had a Sony CD player before that had both the headphones and remote (years ago) and the headphones plugged into the remote. It worked out just fine and was pretty cool, too.
