sorry guys, but there is no need to dis Xbox when in the long run it can do more that the ps2

As for the game ....i'd rather have some control during a fight of a 50 foot mechs. I mean that why i buy game... to interact with the world, not spend a couple mins setting up a mech and watching it fight. It kinda pointless and if i wanted to do that i'd watch the psp glow with mecha anime.

I can't wait for the American release of this game. I haven't played the Japanese version, but I have heard of the gameplay through AI. It sounds boring compared to what can be done when the AC is in your control

The US version apparently will let you control the mechs.

This is probably the worst game i have ever played. Why? Not because the games graphics, or music, or layout, or anything like that suck... Simply because nomater how cool or "into it" you get during the setup/begining, you will never be able to enjoy actually playing the game. Thats right folks, you dont actually control the mechs, you only buy everything, customize the hell out of it, just to sit and watch them have all the fun. Probably the biggest let down i have ever had. I have even played budget titles for my XP laptop and at LEAST i could play the game.
To sum the experience up, put it like this.... Its like, climbing mount Fuji then when you get to the top, the last station is closed. Its like a Massage without the happy ending. Its like a scratch on the rented DVD keeping you from watching the last 15 minutes of the best film you have ever seen. Its like, cooking all day, then forgeting the food in the oven and having it burn. This was SO anticlimactic it just killed me... You get totally into customizing the mech and get all psyched out to play, then the next thing you know, you dont get to do a damn thing! Oh my goodness it sucks so bad.... I wish i had read this review on this site before i bought it, it was horrible. Luckily i took it back and got 1,000 yen for it. Still ripped off though.. *sigh*

lol the good old mech warrior is still there, I got the game recently and yeah it got the feature to battle ai again ai but hey, some times I don't feel like beating the guy up myself, so you don't get a go at the Masta until you beat his student lol

hold on nooooooooooo until you have a messted up game you can choose between manual, or ai in the battle

wait zI take that back, its not a game for you to beat all the people, you can just walk away knowing your Ai will win, and then when you find someone to fight you go go go and take them out lol
