This might be a stupid question to ask, but why is there two different colors for the SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo 1GB, one yellow and one blue and is the only difference between them, the color of the memory stick.
only the blue gaming one is 2GB and its semi-transparent. The 1GB SanDisk Blue Memory Stick is the exact same as the Yellow one, except the Yellow one says its for gamers.
how come when i put it in the PSP it says i only have 949 MB on the card (i just recieved it so it is completley empty) and 1GB is suppose to be around 1024 MB? i was cheated out of memory???

These is factory programming on the card that is what is taking up the space.
You guys can get a 1gb Pro Duo card from X10 for 102.49! That is where I got mine, there are plenty in stock. I noticed that Techonweb.com is out of stock on this item.
I finally got my gig. Ive been wanting a gig since i already have a 512mb. But I want that for music and the the gig for movies/tv. It was hard for me to go and spend $100. But on a forsale/trade forum im on I traded someone computer memory I wasnt using and gave $45.
The best price I've found within Canada for the solid-blue Sandisk 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo is right here: http://www.cendirect.com/main_en/tech_specs.asp?rPart_no=JOG48934
**Note that this is not the "Gaming" model, but AFAIK it's the exact same thing in a different colour case and marketed towards digital camera and pda owners.**
At the time of writing this post the price is $129 + GST/HST + $13 shipping (to most of Canada). That's a lot better than the $179 (+ tax) that FutureShop/BestBuy sells them for. The price fluctuates often and was $131 a couple weeks ago.
Usually I buy Sony electronics (PSP, PS2, Xplod Car Stereo, Wega TV) but every review I've read comparing the Sandisk memory to Sony's has Sandisk come out on top. And for a lower price.
I wonder if Sony will take a page out of Sandisk's marketing agenda and release a 2 GB "über l33t XXXTREME!!!1! edition" MS Duo...
