WCDW - I just checked my order online and now it says "Back Ordered." What happened? I ordered when it said 9 remaining in stock?

WHO HAS THESE IN STOCK

Retail stores that I know of do not have any in stock right now, but of course e-bay has sellers at $150+.

Sandisk has told everyone that these cards will be available to the stores no earlier than May 7th, but generally for sure around the 2nd week of May. That's when all the online retailers will have them back in stock.

It's 2 more weeks just to wait. If you've waited like me since the launch of the PSP, another 2 weeks isn't too bad.

I ordered it off of bizboyz when they said it was in stock. (6 to be exact) Now It's backordered isn't that fraud or something????

Here's the email I got from BoysBiz, it WAS too good to be true:

Our system doesn't update automatically when we get an order...unfortunately there is a delay and we had a big run on this item the last couple days and ran out. However, pls let me make some phone calls on Monday am to see what the status is on this item.

Unfortunately, there are 4 or so people in the same boat on this item that I have to send this email out to.......I'll be in touch on Monday after I find out the deal.....Sorry for the trouble,

John

I don't know why I'm posting this since the last deal I posted went so wrong, but here's another one I found on Google:
link

The sticks are listed for $104.70, but ground shipping is a bit of a ripoff at $12 and they charge some $3 processing fee, so there's a minor gouge with total cost at about $120, but still better than eBay. This place, Trio Computers, lists 284 in stock via their real time inventory as of Mon. 5-2 at 11am ET. My order is placed, once it actually ships, I'll cancel my other two orders at BoysBiz and Amazon.

Good luck again, let's all keep our fingers crossed if you place an order.

Oh yeah, I did call Trio Computers to check on stock. They wouldn't let me place an order on the phone and said "the stock on the website is accurate." I guess we'll see. I'll post again if I get ship confirmation.

For anyone interested in buying the 1 GB Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo (The blue one, not the gaming label yellow one. Both works just the same anyway. In my opinion, I think the blue one is better than the yellow ^^

Keep an eye on TechDepot website (Office Depot company) link
Priced at $105.95 + $6.56 S/H.

Or better yet, check out Computer4Sure (Also an Office Depot company) link
Priced at $105.95 with free shipping.

I ordered first from TechDepot and found out later that Computer4Sure has same price but doesn't charge shipping. I placed another order with them too. Both of my orders are shown to be in 'Back Order' status last week. However, when I was going to cancel one of my orders today, the status of my orders at TechDepot & Computer4Sure are now indicated as 'Item is in Process' and the cancel option for the orders became unavailable.

Based on my past experience with TechDepot, this usually mean that the items I am ordering that was in back order, are now coming in stock and is in the process of being shipped (even if the item at the Website did not reflected as being 'In Stock' yet. Maybe they do not update it right away?). Anyway, the 'Item is in Process' status on my orders, usually change to 'Item was shipped' two business days later (on my past orders anyway). So, this means that TechDepot & Computer4Sure may have the memory stick duo in stock soon if anyone is interested.

For those that want to order the memory with 'In Stock' status to be shipped right away. As of 5/2 11am PST, PC Connection link
has it in stock. Priced at $113.91 + $8.24 S/H.

And, for those that want to save a little, Sony has a rebate offer on their memory (up to $20 rebate). It however expires on 5/8 (try finding some in stock and buying it before then ^^ link

Okay, maybe I should have waited a bit longer before posting. The status on my orders on TechDepot & Computer4Sure has been changed back to 'Item currently on backorder' and now I have the capability to cancel it. Guess, they do not have it in stock yet, or my orders were at the bottom of the waiting list and they couldn't get to it. *sigh* oh well. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. ^^

Meiyi - was a good try anyway. But hey, do you know if the Sony mem stick rebate works for Sandisk sticks or just Sony-branded sticks?

Just got shipping confirmation from Trio Computer (see email below) - SOMEBODY finally delivers the goods! They still list 285 units in stock on their website (see link in previous post), so if you're looking for these, this is the only place I could find that had stock after weeks of daily searching. Of course, I won't be canceling my other orders until this thing is physically in my possession. Now if the Sony rebate is applicable to this Sandisk stick, I'll be really happy.

THANK YOU TRIO COMPUTERS!

Even though the Boyz.biz didn't come through with this, I must say that I am really impressed with their GREAT customer service. They may have made a mistake listing mem stick inventory on their website that was not accurate, but they have done a great job communicating with me, answering emails really quickly and apologizing for the problem.

I was really disappointed with them, but I must say their approach to service is what more online retailers need to be doing (especially with the service horror stories on this site from people buying mem sticks from Dell and J&R). I wouldn't hesitate considering giving TBB my business if they had something I wanted.

Just had to say this since most people will have a negative view of them from this thread...

GT, It seems Trio rasied the price to $134.00 am I wrong? I tryed to order and the price has changed?????

Funny, product page still says "$104.70" for me, but you're right, putting it in a cart bumps it to $134, so maybe we're catching them just inbetween the price increase as someone in the office probably said "we can charge a lot more for these".

I got mine for $120 or so, shipped, so I guess I did get lucky, it's just taking a while. Good thing as I would have passed on this if it was $134.

Still, I'm not counting this as a done deal until I get my package from them, it could be as early as tomorrow if they ship from New York as I'm in Massachusetts. Fingers crossed!
