GT said: "Meiyi - was a good try anyway. But hey, do you know if the Sony mem stick rebate works for Sandisk sticks or just Sony-branded sticks?"

The rebate is only good for Sony brand.

PC Connection did have Sandisk memory in stock when I last check it around 11am PST this morning, priced at $113.91 + $8.24 S/H link .
Now it's all sold out. Guess you have to get it quick if you want one, Kurseone.

Best prices are at the big camera stores, like B&H - $99 for the 1 GB card. They're out of stock, like everyone, but when they're back in stock you can get them cheap. The camera stores are competing for pro dollars, so there's virtually no markup, unlike the game/software stores.

I have a question I didn't seen an answer for in this thread. I'm going to upgrade my puny 32mb card soon, however I'm uncertain if an SD brand card would plug directly in or not. I keep seeing mention of an adaptor, does this mean the memory stick will stick out of the PSP while in use? Thank's.

It comes with an adaptor to go into old Memory Stick slots. If you buy a Memory Stick Duo, it will fit perfectly inside your PSP

However, for anyone that is looking for 1 GB memory stick pro duo, check it out. Price is $120 with free shipping (Free shipping code: SH903A).

To close the loop on my 1gb stick saga, TRIO computers is a BIG FAT LIAR so do not give them your business. They sent me email saying my order was "shipped" on May 2. My order status on their website says "shipped - UPS ground". When it didn't arrive by today, I phoned them and they told me, "oh, that was actually backordered and might ship next week". WTF!!!! I promptly canceled and asked for a refund.

HAPPY ENDING - Luckily, the BoyzBiz emailed me today as I had not canceled my order with them and said they could ship today if I was still interested. I'm almost ready to buy a computer I don't need from them to reward them for their great customer service. Their website still lists 0 in stock, but I'd check this page link and keep an eye on their stock.

I still don't have a stick in my possession, but after bad experiences with three dishonest vendors now (Dell, Amazon and Trio), maybe the next one will do the trick.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience GT. Good to see that it turn out well in the end. ^^

Regarding the '1 GB Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo' at BananaPC. It's now all out of stock. You will not find the item using my link previously posted. (Good thing I ordered one before I posted it. ^^). Anyway, I will post later to share how order went and if I find any other good 1 GB memory stick pro duo deals that's in stock.

BananaPC seems to be a pretty good supplier. The Sandisk 1 GB memory stick pro duo I ordered from them on Monday night is already being delievered today (as shown in my email from them with tracking info). Even though the free shipping states that it will be 5-7 days, it came within 2 days of the order. ^^.

On eBay you can find vendors who will ship worldwide for a good price. Last night I saw a "Buy It Now" auction for $117.00 that ships worldwide for $10.00

It seems I'm not the only one who's been hunting for these things for half a year now. I declare them... vaporware! You won't get one unless you're doing a review for a game mag! :p

I just ordered mine from onsale.com. they have them IN STOCK for $95.

Onsale.com is out of stock. They say they won't get a new shipment until early July. Doesn't SanDisk realize the demand for these and just pump out a few extra thousand, haha. If it were only that easy. There should a site dedicated to the stock and retail of the 1GB memory stick. It would be visited daily I guarantee. Anyways, if anyone stumbles on any, keep us posted. Thanks.
