I can see this coming in handy for fighting games. If a company could design something similar to put over the right hand side buttons (making it easier to play FPS), I would be incredibly happy.
Also, how is it attached? The picture makes it difficult to tell.

I think thats exactly what it is ilian, but still, could be useful

Well what if you bought that and just taped it to the right side buttons? I want to see what this looks like on the back.
It comes with 2 analog sticks too. The same type that is shipped with the PSP.edited: May 10 2006

So for $5 you get that and 2 replacement analog sticks.
Heck... I've been playing Maveric Hunter X and actually that might be nice... especailly at $5.

Looks a lot simpler than the current d-pad "fix," which involves voiding your warranty. =D It works really well, though, I can attest to that.
+
No... just no..... i can't see myself putting that on the already beautiful d-pad of my psp, I'm just not seeing the usefullness of this product....
+
whats the point of this accessory? to make your psp incapable of putting in your cases w/o modifing them?

This looks just like the D-Pad cover I got with Street Figher 3 Alpha Max, and I gotta say it's nice. I wouldn't even bother with SF on PSP if not for it. It comes in handy for racing games too, like Wipeout Pure.

ya i would use this for socom ....it is to hard to hit all the butons..MY fingers kinda slip off the d pad when i a getting in to it.

This looks like the specail Dpad that came with street fighter alpha 3. All you did was use the glue stickems it had on the bottom. Before i put it on a dragon punch was very hard to do, with it simple as it should be. This does depend on how your psp plays, my first one was great with diagonals including dragon punches but one day during Darkstalkers my upper left went out on me and I got a replacement that isnt diagonal friendly. The Dpad cover is great but you cant use the play gear case with it, its now too thick. Also with extreme motions (guile, charlie or blanka charge moves) you can jar it loose and short of ingenuity you wont get it back on. I got mine back on and its held for several months now so Id say my fix works. To help anyone else who had theirs fall off heres how to fix it. Get some paper and trace out the psp dpad, you can put the real dpad cover over the paper to trace a cirlce, then get some of those poster wall tack stickems you can get at office max. Trace the dpad cover on the wall stickem and cut it out with a exacto knife. Glue one side of the stickems (not the side you want to stick on your psp) then CAREFULLY appy it to your psp (DONT MISS). This will give a good strong hold that has lasted the full fury of my friends 3 hour akuma being with raging demon. You can take it off if you dont like it by carefully using rubbing alcohol to dissolve the glue. Ive seen lots of people cry after it fell off and i thought id post here too and help anyone that may need it.
