Formula One 06 features the ability to Network Play between PlayStation 2 and PSP. This means players can now compete online across platforms to see who the fastest Formula One 06 racer is. In other words, if you own the PlayStation 2 version of the game and your friend owns the PSP version, you can still compete on the same circuit!

WOW the cross platform part is astonishing, I hope it works ok... I always wandered about cross-platform online multiplayer, has it ever been achieved before? (like with xbox and pc for example?)
I dont think its coming out on June 1st - I think more like July timeframe. I do like the fact that we can play against others online. I thought last years attempt was too easy, even in hard mode.
OK - so I bought this in the UK last week from HMV and had it deliveredto me - when I opened the package - to my surprise - Sony released this without the Online Play option or even Multiplayer. The graphics are good, the sound is good, the rules, cars and rules changes are all there - but its a pure 1 person player.
It does have an incredibly detailed car setup mode called Evolution that lets you test different setups during a race weekend. PSP AI is pretty tough - I have yet to do anything good / podium - probably because of the penalties for cutting chicanes etc.
