my god, its just a game lol. i dont like hockey all that much but i dont like many sports as it is, maybe besides boxing  anyways, regardless of my dislikes for some sports, hockey is usually a pretty fun and fast paced video game. i remember playing "Ice Hockey" for nintendo where you could choose the 3 different size guys to play on your team. it was simple but i loved it to death. i was interested in getting this game for my PSP but i've heard some bad stuff about it like stupid AI. bad AI is all i need to not buy a game, i cant stand stupid bots i mean they are already dumb as it is. can anyone tell me if this is true for this game?

kinda sad when super nintendo bots behave better then PSP...

This is quite a mature discussion. :-) Really guys, does it really matter whether hockey sucks or doesn't suck or whether you are from USA or Canada?
The game itself has so-so graphics (quite choppy) but you get used to it after a while. The online play is fun, but hardly anyone is ever on. Once you figure out how to score it's not so bad, but then after a while you get sick of scoring the same old one-timer goals.

nothing beats actually playing the game i mean gearing up and goin out on the ice. but this game is definatley a game for hockey fans. who else would buy it? my prediction for the future HABS VS. BLACK HAWKS in some stanley cup finals game

The strange thing to me is the fact that they're releasing ANOTHER one in the fall? Gretzky 2006? Why?

This Game is not acutally that bad. True, It does definitley have it problems, like no commentary and such, but if you are a hockey fun i would definitley recommend this game. Actually wait for Gretzky NHL 06 which looks like it will be much better

This game got poor reviews. Hockey is my fav sport & I was happy to find this game for the PSP. Unfortunately, when I demo'ed it I found it to be weak. e.g., Choppy frame-rates. I'm waiting for EA's hockey game; anyone heard anything about this? I haven't seen anything about NBA or NHL for the PSP. EA's FIFA soccer is excellent; I can't get enough of it.

for a hocky fan
at first youll relize that the controls r really bad but after a while of playing ull get the hang of it
even if u dont like hocky u should still get the game
because the game is similar 2 alot of other sports games because they all follow the same kind of play

yeah go flyers!!! - and about the game its not that good its really slow, u have absolutely no defense at all and ur goalie stinks, and the thing i hate the most is when u win the stanley cup (like the flyers will do this year ) nothing happens--no award ceremony or anything!

if u like these graphics u should see the soccer ones
they are the best graphics i've seen since let me think ever?
and hockey sucks!
