With a comical take on the Star Wars Trilogy that revolutionized pop culture forever (Episode IV A New Hope, Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI Return of the Jedi), LEGO Star Wars II follows the Rebel Alliance's battle to dismantle the Galactic Empire and rebuild a galaxy in pieces. From Darth Vader's pursuit of Princess Leia aboard her Blockade Runner to a showdown on the reconstructed Death Star, the game includes even more of the family-friendly LEGO action, puzzles and humor that earned the original LEGO Star Wars such popularity and acclaim.
And much more new to offer, it still has. For the first time ever, levels feature vehicles and creatures that players can ride or exit at will. Also, in LEGO Star Wars II's Free Play mode, gamers can customize more than 50 new playable characters by mixing and matching body parts, to build their own LEGO Star Wars heroes. And on certain platforms, a game save from the first LEGO Star Wars can unlock as many as 56 additional characters for Free Play - that's more than 100 characters total, plus millions of possible creations! Other exciting additions include the ability to Free Play with vehicles, cool new character-specific attacks and maneuvers, playable mini-kit vehicles, an optional advanced mode for experienced players and more.

I hear very good things about the LEGO versions of the STAR WARS games...they are allowed a little bit of flexabilty for the gameplay becuase it is LEGO, and therefore the game doesn't stick to the exact story, rather modifying the game to allow for better gameplay. A must have for action and STAR WARS lovers.

The LEGO Star Wars series were reputably the best Star Wars games, but thye look to juvenille for most gamers to be interested in.

i wish they would do a regular non-lego version of the star wars trilogy  this game still sounds pretty cool though.

since there are no new good games out, i guess ill have to give this one a chance... it would be even better if it played wireless online!

The last game hinted at this game. THat secret door was the beginning of Episode IV with the Tantive IV and Leia and Vader.

The original on PS2 was amazing, looks childish on the exterior, but once you get into it it's actually a very very good game, i am definatley getting this one.

When the PSP first came out there was a commercial with a very brief glimps of Lego Star Wars being played on it. I waited and waited but I couldn't find any information about it. No one believed me.
In December I gave up and got it for the PC. :-(
Unless they screw it up like they did the Game Boy version it will be great on the PSP. I wonder if I can trade in my PC copy for it. .edited: Feb 21 2006
