Exactly one hundred years ago, off the rocky shore of an isolated Northern California town, a ship of lepers seeking refuge was betrayed by the town's founding fathers and burned, dooming everyone aboard. Now, tonight, the ghosts of the long-dead mariners have returned from their watery graves to exact revenge. Shrouded within a supernatural fog, the ghosts trap the residents of the remote community, intent on seeking out the descendants of those who founded the town...and killing anyone who stands in their murderous path.

I watched the fog the other night. I found it was horrible.

John Carpenters "The Fog" from 1980 is very good. I Have not seen this. Is it a remake of Carpenters the fog?

I thought it was really "Cliche'" like there was a line
"Don't worry, Big Dan is here and he'll take care of things"
okay...as if he's NOT going to die after that line?
but it was like you could almost figure out where the director piecing things together
"Now lets make the sex scene, all blockbuster movies have a sex scene right? MORE SKIN!"
"Okay now a death scene...yeah, yeah a death scene will be killer! get it?? Killer!!"
"Okay puts some drama in it with....with...A DEFENSELESS YOUNG BOY!"
"Crap! We need a black guy to make it politically correct and attract the urban african american crowd! Is Cuban Gooding available?"
Seriously, it was almost that obvious. It was like puzzle pieces that were hammered together instead of put in naturally.

in the carpenter film it was a norcal coastal town (actually, filmed near pt. reyes, just north of SF) but in the remake it was supposedly a town in oregon. either way, the film really wasn't any good. not frightening at all and the screenplay just seemed as though it was thrown together at the last minute. absolutely one of the worst films i've seen in the past year.

this was the stupidest movie i've seen in a wile...i recomend not buying it
