The story follows the conclusion of events in the first Killzone, with the battle against the Helghast still raging on. In Southern Vekta, the rules of war have been cast aside with the Helghast General, Metrac, employing brutal measures in order to seize the initiative. Returning as Templar, your mission is to undertake a covert operation to save hostages captured by Metrac whilst ISA troops continue the fight for liberty.
The Killzone Universe is finally brought to the PSP in this third-person shooter. The game revolves around Jan Templar's mission to rescue hostages from a Helghast base shortly after the events of the original game. New to the game are increased stealth mechanics, and more interactive environments. The perspective has also changed from FPS to top-down stealth.

This seems alright, I was half expecting a FPS, like I'm sure all of you were. If it works then sure i'll give it a whirl, from the screen shots it looks nothing like MGS, not even the camera style. If its a MGS type of game then sure, but as others have said, it isn't an MGS at all.

Maybe it will be a cool 3D shooter, like metal slug gone 3d? Everyone loved Metal Slug.
Or Akari Warriors reborn? That style worked well in my opinion.edited: Jan 25 2006

just to let you all know, but Metal Gear Solid is third person perspective, just like this game. and if you read my quote right, i said nothing about it being like MGS, only the viewpoint is the same. because nothing will ever come close to MGS, especialy the one on the playstation. no game will ever come close to it. Psycho Mantis, come on, no evil villian from any game ever comes close to him.
so just to recap, the viewpoint is like MGS not the gameplay.
they might be able to pull it off, but i doubt it.

fireEffect...
what is "actual 3rd person view".... if it's not your view, and not your enemy's.... it's 3rd person... no matter where you place the camera.
