One hundred years have passed since the evil Sorcerer Zarok was defeated at the Battle of Gallowmere, heroically cut down by a mortally wounded Sir Daniel Fortesque. Or at least, that's what the people were told; in fact poor Sir Dan was a bit of a coward, falling in the very first wave of arrows. Now Zarok has returned, turning day into night, and raising an undead army to conquer the land. As a side effect Dan has also been resurrected... now, he has the chance to defeat Zarok and in death become the hero he never was in life.

Oh, and I noticed that the release date isn't right (in the US, at least). My... previous research tells me that it is supposed to be out september 13.

I got it last week, and quite enjoying it so far, its got a quirky sense of humour (Tom Baker, an Ex Doctor Who and the guy who does the voice over for Little Britain, narrates for it too). The levels seem well designed and the fighting is quite good fun too. Quite a few reviews said the camera and controls were a bit dogdy but I'm finding them to be fine.

I picked this up today. It's so much better than Death Jr. I thought Death Jr. was decent but the controls are camera are much better in this game. The presentation is also very impressive. Great voice acting, cool story, good humor and some really cool cut scenes. This game along with Burnout will help make up for the lack of games that have come out for the PSP. I'm very impressed and can't wait to keep playing Medevil.

I completly agree with the camera problemas mentioned, it's really a clumbsy work - very jumpy and inaccurate and turns ranged attacks in an almost impossible mission. Anyway there are some good points in the game though, the story has enough depth, the humour is at times "smilable" (other times just annoying, though), and it's a quite big game (maybe too big, don't know..., beeing playing for 20+ hours and I think I'm at 60% of it). I would give it 6.5/10.
I agree with my fellow europeans when they state that the games that were released at PSP lauch day, were average titles. They could lauch Burnout at lauch day, that would have beeen a clever move.

if you like the original on PS1 then you will like this one. it is basically the exact same game but it works extremely well on the psp. its been so long since i played the original i hardly remember most of it anyway. funny as well. makes for a great action/adventure game. levels are not too long, but are long enough to hold some purpose and story line. havent tried multiplayer yet

This game is fun, though there are gameplay issues which make it frustrating to play (the cannons on the Pirate Ship anyone?). It is good, and thankfully they recreated almost all the levels (though, it's missing the Ants level. That was fun! They replaced it with catching the fairies, oooh yay, not so fun). Plus, why did they have to go overboard on the one liners? The original was still tongue-in-cheek, in this one they went over board.
Still, OK game.

its a good game and the camra can in some views be a little aquward but really it doesnt affect the game play
after all, 3d person view has its flaws and no matter what u do it doesnt go away
the humor is funny and the game is long enough

i have this game , its a remake of the playstation one version but all the levels have been reconstructed in some places , i loved the playstation 1 version and the psp version is even better i reccomend this to everyone

it's a beauty. i loved it on the psx and it only gets better. i have to agree on the choppy camera, but the story, humor and gameplay make up for it completely. And for a psp game it's HUGE. You can waste a lot of hours on this psp gem ^^
