I have the 1gb. Don't be a poor loser and pony up the money for it. Its sooo worth it. I got my psp to do native resolution from mem stick and ghost in the shell 2 is friggin DVD quality. 600 megs... but very worth it.
m05: goto engadget.com and look up dvd to psp article. they list all the sizes there and some compression tricks.
tkblingx2: today, the dude at best buy couldn't get the memory card out. then he realized to get the card out he had to push it in then it pops out. common mistake.
So small. I'm afraid to break it. Those worries will be over as soon as 8:00a.m.EST comes along and it's in my hands leaving the store five minutes after that. The problem of thinking of breaking it will be gone once I put it into the PSP, of course.

I was at a local video game store finishing testing out one of 'em for my import PSP when the thing poped out a 2 meters out and onto the floor. Me and the sales girl was like "uhh... was that the memory stick that just flew out of the PSP? O_o". There were people walking around, and getting the brand new yet unpaid for 512MB $268 (Bruneian dollars) stepped on and damaged (or worse yet, snatched up by an onlooking opportunist) was of immediate concern after realising what had just occured :D It was a funny moment, but anyway.. little blue thin piece of storage depipheral is now chock full of videos and mangas and whatnot I'm not planning on using memory sticks for movie watching or music, I'm more of a living room DVD watcher and that iPod Shuffle in my breast pocket's doing a great job attending to my music listening needs So, the 512MB just right for me here.
400 songs on a 512mb stick?
was that at the lowest quality setting? (you'll know its the lowest quality because it sounds like you're hearing it thru a tin can)
is $58.95 cheap for a 512 stick? (does not include the $9.95 shipping charge)
