Having not heard of Blood...what the hell is "old school" about the other three? Hardly that old surely?!

duke nukem = oh dear god lame.
blood = ?
doom = classic, but lame, and I would never play it on psp. period.
quake = still has potential as a contender for "usable game engine on a psp". It would look good, with better textures, better model resolution. Pull a CS source on it.
as for marathon and system shock = not quite better than quake to me personally, but better than all the rest.. that includes wolfenstein, doom, nukem, doom2.

digi, I can agree with you on Marathon. But I still enjoy all of those games in the poll. As for Duke, I enjoyed that game. Granted, the humor was the kind of stuff you'd see scrawled on a truckstop restroom stall, but that wasn't the point of the game.

loved Serious Sam 1 & 2, not the BS made for the platforms. Great game good fun. Red Faction on PS2 was ok.

Yeah, but SS isn't old enough. I'm talking the relics of the DOS gaming era, before Runtime 200 and 200Mhz Pentiums killed it.

I'd actually buy Marathon on the PSP if it was a conversion rather than just a port. Updated graphics with the same story line would be awsome! Too many people never got to play this amazing shooter when it came out.
Come to think of it, I'd probably buy almost any Bungie game made for the PSP new or old. They're so closely associated with Halo these days that some people don't know they had many great games before.

I grew up playing Doom from when I was 6 years old, but I always liked Marathon a lot. Simulacrums scared the sh*t out of me, so I just killed every BoB in the game. Good times. Is it strange that at such a young age I was really rooting for Durandal?

Blood, definitely. DOOM and Quake have been refrikin done so many times, i am getting tired just looking at the names. Blood i dont think has ever had a new face, neither had Shadow Warrior. Time for something new to come back!
