This whole poll, and last page of replies is so cringeworthy.

It's frightening just how much the kids today underestimate the Nintendo brandname.

"OmG Nintendo iZ 4 babies!"

It maybe cliched, but show me a baby who can complete Mario64, then we can talk.

well i think that nintendo will always rule the handheld market (don't get me wrong- i resent this and i love my PSP) because nintendo makes small, simple, easy to use handhelds that dont require screwing around w/ firmware ect. gameboys will always dominate the PSP because they are cheap, simple and can take one hell of a beating. like i said, i hate this and i want nintendo to die because the psp's so much cooler and more deserving. that said, i think the DS has an uncertain future because the PSP is finally coming of age and it is said that it will do some crazy things with the PS3. also, i think that the DS is by no means innovative, because all it has over the PSP is the touch screen, and all the games i've ever played on it have been mini games or games that don't require the use of the touchscreen during gameplay.

i want nintendo to bring out some great games and put sony under presure....that way sony will have to pull their thumb out off their arse and start bringing out some better games.

I like nintendo, and I have a DS. I think the psp has a lead over the ds, however nintendo continues to hold on due to the expense of the psp. the release of the gameboy micro however, did nothing to level the competition. I prefer the psp by far, but nintendo holds it's own

im definately getting the new ds...whats the point in hating! if psp didnt have any competition then the games would probably be worse than they already are...nintendo is a great company and i stuck with them until sony got in on the act...i wish sega would make a return and blow sony and microsoft out of the water, then it could be like the days of yore when games were fun.

You get what you pay for. PSP offers more. FACT! But i aggree with parker it'd be nice for SEGA to get back into the game. They made some great titles and still do in the stand up arcade scene. Also why are people complaining about sonys lack of games. SONY doesnt even make some of the greatest titles avail for ps1 ps2. from what ive seen 2006 looks big for PSP.

Do you hate Sony that much?
I've noticed that you bash all of the games and the psp itself.
So, im just wondering, Why?

One cannot say Nintendo will ALWAYS rule or Sony will ALWAYS rule. I believe that in this generation of handhelds Nintendo will maintain the upper hand. I read somewhere that the ratio of handhelds sold is 1:4 in favour of nintendo (and that is taking into account the DS only). Anyways the PSP is a great piece of hardware but it cannot compare to the DS software wise. It still needs its killer games. One such game might be Locoroco but I do not think that one game alone can make or break a system. More PSP exclusive titles are needed. Games tailor made for the system. Anyways I am still very hopeful for the PSP cause it clearly has great potential.

I don't mean to be the one to throw a monkey wrench into your discussion, but what about the 500 lb. gorilla waiting in the wings? MS has officially stated they are throwing their hat into the handheld market. I personally think the market will be able to support 3 major players for atleast 1 or 2 generations, but who knows what the market will look like in electronics by then? I don't think Sony or MS will be successful in making their home systems a one box entertainment center replacing specific purpose devices, but in handhelds I do think the markets for gaming, cell, music, video, text etc.. will merge into a successful single device.

you know nintendo isnt for lil kids. a bit of the games for DS are much harder than psp games. and so far the psp library of good games is horrible, and hasent really improved. theres a few good games but barely compared to the amount out. and no psp will not end nintendo's rule

PSP Rules! I have no regrets having one.
But Nintendo are keeping up with some Crappy games to sell. I dont know how, but Nintendo are matching the PSP.
Because Nintendo have a touch screen, there is way more interaction in games.
But the PSP have way better graphics and memory!
