the nintendo ds sucks ass as well as the nintendo company. i have always hated nintendo and they aint getting any better. they can release all the they want but they will never be any good.

nintendo holds a huge market share of the handheld gaming systems. the only way sony will wipe them out is either 1.) sony comes out with a cheaper less capable psp (like games only) or, 2.)they lower the current psp price to near that or lower than the nintendo ds. the first would be a great scenario for those poor kids feening for a chance at a psp, and the second just isn't going to happen.

You gotta love your puppy simulators.

As with consoles, there seems to be enough room for two systems, each aimed at different segments of the market. I think they can both coexist.

I agree with flippity... There are always going to be gamers...as well as GAMERS. Nintendo will always corner the niche market of kids games, reality simulation, and fun stuff involving a fat plumber and a gay mushroom. The PSP is aimed at the serious gamer, with serious cash... and believe me, the world is full of both kinds. There is always going to be that simple fun factor that keeps Nintendo running. Vice versa, there will always be a want for better graphics and more stimulating gaming... hence the PSP. They both play well to their respective audiences.

LOL HIM
yu can make it up to nintendo by buying 2 Nintendo DS's and giving one to me :D

To this day the DS has easily sold more in Japan and the US than the PSP (I know the ds came out before the psp) But the ds will probably stay at the top because developers are more compeled to make games for the ds because it offers a brand new type of gaming experience.Apperently majority of consumers want to buy the cheaper innovative system (although gimmicky).

i love the psp coz its so powerful and all its media capabilities and plain sexiness. gameboys were never appealing to me. and im sorry but i wansnt a nintendo kid. i went the sega way and then the psone rocked my world. so games like ridge racer and wipeout just bring back memories to me like mario to the nintendo kids. all i ask for is a proper Metal Gear Solid for PSP.
I really hope developers keeps coming out with original titles for psp.. like Tecmo are doing with Tokobot. I think all we need are some stellar original licences for the psp to get it going! wot u guys say?
EDIT** and Square, PLEASE BRING BACK VAGRANT STORY!edited: Nov 27 2005

Once new games start popping up, Nintendo has to be ready to retaliate - hard.
Oh, and so far, the only thing the PSP doesn't have that the DS does is a touch-screen.
