medium, that way, I can see the screen very well, but the battery lasts a little longer

Why lightest? It's better for the battery if you make it dark, especially because you really don't need it so bright.

there is a trick to getting the 4th setting with out it charging. Plug the psp in and chose the 4th brightness setting and then unplug it and there you go. you should be able to use the 4th setting. I have done this many times. but yeah i hardly ever go the the first 2 settings I like to see everything lol

Me too... Mine is always on 4. If you standby the machine, it will come out of standby still at 4.

Only the darkest, I want my battery to last as long as possible.

if you charge your psp and turn it onto 4 and unplug it it will stay at 4
