Unless it's nighttime in my room and my light is off, I use the medium setting. Otherwise, I use the darkest to keep from blinding myself whenever I turn the page in my PSP image viewer when reading manga...

It's funny how much fuss was made over the battery life, but I have yet to hear of anyone talk about it now. Personally, I use the brightest setting on batteries. The PSP rarely leaves my home, and when it does I make sure to kill the WiFi, mute the sound and dim the lights. What a beauty.

why is this a poll? Like it's a choice? Of course, everyone is going to use the brightest setting available, either 3 or 4 (when plugged in).

no..NEVER...gbasp is only frontlit, colors look faded.. thus looks horrible compared to the PSP's beautifully Backlit screen. this also applies to phones...backlit is best period !!edited: Nov 22 2005

The new revision of the SP is indeed backlight...i know cuz i might be buying one some time soon :- f/w 2.5 :-(
