I just picked up my PSP, and I played with the damn thing all weekend. Great toy. I got a few games, but mostly just messed around with getting music videos and ripping movies onto it. I ended up mounting the little guy in the car with the Intec Dock. It works out pretty good, so I figured I'd share the idea and took some pics.

Cradle

The bottom of the cradle wedges right under the ashtray, then I put a strip of Velcro on the top to keep it from shaking and swinging down. The cradle slides right out and the wires get tucked into the ashtray when you want to remove it.

If you look at the bottom of the unit, you can see where it plugs into the aux input from my radio and a car charger. Both of the wires run right into the ashtray.....I hard wired the cigarette car charger behind the dash so there's almost no mess at all.

Video

Car Mount in action - watching Napoleon Dynamite (right-click / save as to download)

The sound and video quality is excellent. Napoleon Dynamite with great quality compressed into just over 300mb, which means you can fit 3 movies on a 1GB memory stick....or a ton of music videos and MP3's. It is a lot of toy for $250. The only problem is that it makes the rest of my car look like crap.

Well i did this same thing to my 2000 Chevy Cav and it works great, I got the stand with the PSP when i bought it and never see a use for it. Till the day i thought maybe it mt mite work in the car. So i slid the legs of the stand above the sterio and it worked well for awhile, but i had to keep holding on to it every bumb in the road. If it wasnt for the screen protector i would of scratch the screen the couple times it fell. Then i seen this, and the velcro works GREAT ! i went to Wal-Mart and bought the small package of Velcro under 3 bucks and i put it threw the test on my way to work and hit every bumb in the road. And it works GREAT. the only thing i have to do is figure out a way for my AUX input to be put in the back, i have one in the front of the sterio, which i have to do some research to see if my car sterio has AUX input in the rear. But THANKS for the Velcro idea it works great.!!!!!
