In GamePro's report yesterday, we detailed that Sony recently lifted the self-inflicted ceiling of the PSP's processing speed thanks to system software update version 3.50. Now, instead of being limited to just 266 MHz, all PSP games can run at an optimized rate of up to 333 MHz.
Sony also confirmed that this firmware change would not be available as a retroactive feature, and would only be restricted to future games. So, which one of the PSP's upcoming titles will utilize all of that extra speed? Why, none other than Sony's very own title God of War: Chains of Olympus.
In an entry on Sony's official PlayStation.blog, God of War creative director Cory Barlog proclaimed that Ready at Dawn, the development team behind the title, has readily embraced the speed upgrade.
"Many people are asking if God of War: Chains of Olympus is going to take advantage of this," Barlog writes. "The short answer is yes we are! Ready at Dawn has been doing some pretty amazing stuff with the PSP since the early days of the platform. Every time I see a new build I am more amazed with what we're able to pull off with the PSP."
Although Barlog is not directly involved with the game's development process this time around, he claims to have faith in director Ru Weerasuriya and the rest of the Ready at Dawn team. But despite the fact that he's on the outside-looking-in for Chains of Olympus, Barlog promises that some new information will be revealed at next month's E3.
So this will actually be the first great game for the psp
but the only downside to this is that the game will consume more battery so dont expect to play this game for for a very long time until the battery runs out
i cant submit the picture because its 25kb and this site only allows pics under 18kb so go to the link to see the pics
