Information has come out regarding Wipeout Pure's downloadable content. The details forecast monthly bonuses that will extend gameplay well beyond that available on the UMD.
Monthly content will be available in the form of 1-2 new courses, hovercraft and new songs each month. Developer SCEE is also stating that these extra bits will take up about 8MB of storage each month, available for at least 6 months. If you only have a 32MB card, you'll either have to transfer media to your computer or get a new card to make room for the 48MB worth of content.

Sweet This makes me want to purchase the game.

Now i have never been a big fan of the Wipeout games, but this makes me wanna rethink getting this game. I'm gonna look into this alot closer now.
+
Made up that it's my launch game and I'll have a 1Gb card!
+
That sounds like it'll add some replay value to the game. I love games like Wipeout and F-Zero (F-Zero is my favorite, though), so this will add more reason to buy this game.
+
The original wipeout was the reason I bought my first playstation- so for me this is a must have game anyways. The downloadable content is just the cherry on top of my materialistic self-indulging sundae.

Just got the latest issue of EDGE magazine (probably the bvest multiformat computer game magazine in the UK), and Wipeout Pure has made the front cover (one of the best covers ive seen, very eye catching), they do a huge 5 page spread on Wipeout Pure, talking about every feature of the game (3 game modes, Normal, Zone and Classic, each mode has a different look to the game), now, they mention the downloadable content, and they show one of the tracks skinned up in EDGE logo's all over it, and this begs the question, will Sony Liverpool release a tool so that we may change the textures in the game ourselves? now how cool would that be?
oh, and for those who havent seen it.... link < now thats an amazing intro with awesome music
+
Can't wait for this one! Some Good video reviews on Gamespot and it looks like it may have better graphics than RR
+
too bad the intro is the only thing on the site.
+
the rest of trhe site is gonna open up when the PSP is launched in the US i believe, but most of the japanese site is up already.... link
+
is that the psps actual size?
+
errr, not likely, cos it depends on the size of your monitor and resolution of your screen (on my monitor that psp on screen is about twice the size as my psp) hehe
