Sony confirms the flaw and is willing too fix anyones faulty controlls.
It seems the extra plastic from about 3000 models wasn't removed from the controllers in production. Hopefully You're the lucky ones reading this that has a non-faulty PSP.
Sony has confirmed that the controller buttons on some Playstation Portable (PSP) units may become stuck and not return to their default position. A free repair program has been announced.
It's worst at first - on mine it would stick down sometimes - maybe 1 in 20 pushes. But after a week or two, it went away. Now, you can't tell any difference between the buttons.
3000 out of .. how many hundreds of thousands.. thats really not too bad.. (200,000 at release, makes it 0.15%, pretty low rate no matter how you look at it). And of course they would fix them - what company wouldn't fix a small manufacturer problem. This however is nothing like the problem people have been 'claiming' it to be - the numbers alone show how small a problem it really is. I personally never had any 'sticking down thing' at all.. so I think pixelator is a very unlucky one. Btw pixelator what game did you buy that uses the square alot? I hardly even use it yet - only to test what people have been claiming..? Of the two I own, they dont even use the sqaure (although RR does, I hardly touch it :-))
