NMA said: "Sony Computer Entertainment is developing a pan-European online hub to support the long-awaited launch of its new PlayStation Portable (PSP) games console next month.

The multimedia Web network will act as the main point of contact for PSP enthusiasts in over 100 countries including the UK, Spain and Germany.

The main focus of the online hub will be to provide users with regular access to special add-ons that will enable them to enhance the size and playability of selected PSP games.

Sony is also working with a number of major film companies, including Buena Vista International, Twentieth Century Fox and Universal Studios, to offer PSP users access to promotional movie trailers, short films and specially selected viral clips.

The Web network will be updated on a regular basis and all downloads will be available free of charge in an attempt to showcase the various functions of the PSP."
