IGN said: "DTR: Reckoning needed more time in development. Besides the design flaws, it was buggy at times. At one point, the sound effects completely left. All I was left with was the generic action music. Another time, the textures popped out when I used my dog. The game just needs more work. But I should also point out that this isn’t a hopeless title. The screws just need major tightening. I think it's possible to have a success shooter on PSP. But if fundamental elements like a functional camera and control systems aren't there, the game just won't work."
