Sony Japan announced today that there will be a special Wipeout Pure download available on July 16 at a concert in Yokohama, Japan.
On Saturday, July 16, starting at 16:00, in the Yokohama Arena in Japan, the will be a international techno concert.
If you take your PSP with your Wipeout Pure UMD, there will be wireless access to download a special WIRE05 BGM (music), a special WIRE05 circuit, and special WIRE05 menu graphics.

the downloads will most likely pop up on the internet.... so dont get too mad.

I'd give it about 2 hours from concert end to the files being posted on the net.

I really do hope this goes up on the net, tho this is a press release from Sony Japan, It may only be compatible with JP version of Wipeout Pure? Seeing as tho JP psp's have got all 3 gamma packs already and us are only on gamma pack 2. And you can put the JP gama packs onto a US game :-(

I just found out... tickets will cost 10,500 yen!
That's about US$100.00!
That's worth 2 or 3 PSP games!
Even if I was not busy that night, I would not go for that price... the special tracks and music are not worth it.

If ANYONE manages to get that pack, PLEASE post it here! I don't care whether or not it only works with Japanese PSPs! (though I'd DEFINITELY prefer for it to work with US PSPs)

The PSP zone at the arena has been on-line for the past 6 1/2 hours.
Some one must have the Wipeout Pure concert download by now.

I have a Japanese PSP with the Japanese version of Wipeout Pure.
Anyway... some one was nice enough to send me a link of where to download the WIRE05 pack.
It is SWEET!
And the new ship is nice, too!

Hey ModGod, sorry everyone isn't a "god" like you are. I just didn't want to get people's hopes up. But then again I guess I could have helped my poor self esteem by waiting to see if someone posts what I posted and then make them seem dumb. Oh yeah and if you "lol" from what I said then the UK needs more Monty Python.
