You're missing one... TOS was NCC-1701.. In the movies they ended up with NCC-1701-A.. TNG was NCC-1701-D. We saw NCC-1701-C in a TNG episode when the timeline gets messed up and Tasha Yar (the blond security lady who died and worf took over) is back alive and goes back in time to help the crew of C. NCC-1701-E was the movies after D was destroyed (in generations I think).

Picture 1 - NCC-1701-E
Picture 2 - NCC-1701-D
Picture 3 - NCC-1701
Picture 4 - NCC-1701-A (I'm not sure)
Picture 5 - NCC-1701-C (I'm not sure)

So all that being said, which ones are which? And does this post totally prove how high I rank on the geek-o-meeter?

Okay I did these so I will make it easy.

First off there was a ship the NCC1071B was a second generation non-transwarp drive Excelsior Class ship

First ship
NCC1701D-AGT (All Good Things) episode TNG
NCC1701D Enterprise Galaxy Class TNG
NCC1701 Enterprise Constituion Class - ST
NCC1701A Enterprise Enterprise Class - ST Movies, yes it actually is considered a class
NCC1701B Enterprise Ambassador Class - TNG

Didn't do a 170 B or a Soverign Class 1701E, mostly since I didn't have any good pics

oh and yo yo...I just won the Geek award back

Keep on PSPin'

Yes... You totally blew me out of the water. Star Trek is great isnt it?

It's weird though, if you think about it, the federation of planets are totally communitsts. Maybe Socialists, but I'm leaning toward communisim.

We prefer the term Geek over Nerd. But I can tell by the web speak "omg" and the numbers in your name that you must be very 3733T and you just PWNED all of us.

Whatever.

You may call me a GEEK all you like you can also call me a NERD, but man you should see my Portfolio. I am in the Telecom biz, use to climb telephone Poles in my younger days.

I actually am not a huge fan of the Series or Movies. But what I like to do is wargame with the ships. I use a set of rules called Full Impulse and use Galoob Micro Machines mounted on attennas so that you can play the game in 3D. It is a lot of fun. Last time I played my ship was totally funtional except for a little Life Support hit that killed the entire crew. The Kilingons kept chasing it as it slowly flew off the play area.

No.... The Enterprise NX-01 was NX class. This was pre-federation (I think, I didnt get into enterprise becuase I didnt have a UPN affiliate) I think... Once the federation became the federation, they started using the NCC prfix. There were for NX class ships, but only the Columbia NX-02 was ever really know about in ST history.

And Ramsildor... I think you are wrong (I had to research this so I cant take credit for knowing it)...

Ships and classes... Confirmed off multiple internet sources (check out all the crazy star trek info at answers.com)

NX-01 (NX Class)
NCC-1701 (Constitution Class)
NCC-1701-A (Constitution Class)
NCC-1701-B (Excelsior Class)
NCC-1701-C (Ambasador Class)
NCC-1701-D (Galaxy Class)
NCC-1701-E (Sovereign Class)

NX is the Federation vessel registy prefix for experimental ship classes before they entered full scale production. The other known vessels to bear the NX prefix are:

NX-01 Enterprise link
NX-59650 U.S.S. Prometheus (Prometheus class) link
NX-74205 U.S.S. Defiant (Defiant class) link
NX-74751 U.S.S. Yellowstone (Danube class a.k.a. "Runabout" link

All those ships were still being perfected when they were written into ST history and deemed experimental, thus bore the NX prefix instead of the more recognisable NCC prefix that all Starfleet service vessels are registed with.
