If you lived in Japan... you might quickly learn to not like N.H.K.
NHK is almost the official television company of the Japanese government.
NHK sends people out to your home to ask if you have a television. If you do have a TV... you must pay them... whether you watch NHK or not?!
It would be like telling you in the U.S. that you MUST pay for Public Brodcasting System (PBS).
I always slam the door in their face!
I'm not paying for some thing that is transmitted in to the air and not scrambled.
Do people in the U.S. have to pay if they receive the NHK signal? I don't think so!

I'm happy I get NHK for free, since I live on an Air Force base. Even though I don't watch it, every once in a while I will catch a glimpse of Domo Kun.

Domo Kun Kicks ass, dont listen to those naysayers and nhk bashers. Nhk is the only channel that is free across the country that has some english programming ( kids shows to learn english) but i crave it like crack when i am there because there is nothing else ( sumo is the coolest other free programming brought by NHK too

NHK AND JAPAN GO HAND IN HAND.

DOMO KUN FOR LIFE NIGGGGGGGGGGAS

The wallpaper has far too much white to be functionaly viable to use on my PSP.

As for the discussion on the channel... never seen it, don't know what to think, and if I ever make to Japan, I'll be sure to check it out.

He came from an egg, that feel underground and the first thing that he heard when hatched was the word domo which means hello, thank you or good bye I believe and his whole vocabulary is based on that one word. It's kinda interesting. Oyes and no we don't pay for PBS, but we do pay for cable, so in essence we pay for NHK if we receive it/ask for it.
