What you need
• A PSP
• Scotch Tape
• A quarter
Directions
• The first step is putting tape on one side of the quarter by rolling it to make a loop ( i guess you could use double stick tape).
• The last step is placing the quarter over the buttons that you want to be the extra analog stick.
• This should help with games like Syphon Filter, Coded Arms, or other FPSs.

zeus44, i put this on here just to help out some people who were have trouble maneuvering on some of there games. i read this and i tried it out and it works. a quarter isnt big enough to even touch the faceplate. if you dont think its a good idea its fine with me but you ont have to go off calling me and idiot.edited: Dec 07 2006

The person in question posted up a potential mod; a mod that helps PSP users play certain games where the FACE BUTTONS are used as a d-pad. Have any of you monkeys played Syphon Filter, recently? Yeah!
So your reason for decrying this chap's mod, is simply because the coin makes the 200-dollar PSP look ugly? First off, you’re pompous idiots for deciding what another person chooses to do with their money; I might just buy a 200-dollar PSP to fling the damned thing at one of your heads! Furthermore; you're even bigger idiots, and probably proof that nature doesn't always grant intelligence, because you believe in preserving the look of a console, even if it means having to put up with the discomfort factor. So you're dedicated to that 200-dollar device to the extent that you'd avoid modifying the given device to be able to play certain game with a degree of normalcy? You're so dedicated to making the PSP look good that you'd rather play most of your games in a spastic manner? Basically, you'd rather "look good" but appear, and feel stupid. What are you - a bunch of male bimbos?
Sorry, but this is a kick-ass mod; it isn't an analogue-mod, which is probably the only "wrong" and misleading part about this suggestion. It's actually a good way to make a d-pad out of the face buttons for games where the face buttons are used for movement. Not a bad concept at all; it can even be used to make the PSP’s retarded D-pad a bit more effective for games like Street Fighter Alpha Max. Oh, and while we’re on the subject of looks; the coin doesn't look too bad, considering that it’s little cost for the PSP so much more comfortable at playing certain games, which would virtually be impossible, otherwise. Ugly, you say? Go read your own posts, and then look in the mirror: THAT’S UGLY!
Yes, I realise I've flamed most of you, but considering how low most of you have gone, I couldn't look bad, even if I went strides out of my way. You shmucks are the living-reasons as to why Video Game fans get a bad rep; you're the disease that reinforce the negative videogamer-stereotype: A raunchy, detached, out-of-touch with reality ego that only warrants pure hatred and contempt from any observing body. The solution is practical; it works. It isn't a real analogue; it isn't even a proper d-pad or a second stick. However, it is practical - it helps with certain games. Kindly edify yourself by reading over my post - I've already defeated your argument on multiple fronts; I shouldn't have to make this post to drive a point home.
You guys can say that it may not "look" the best - that's cool. However, most of these shmucks insulted and flamed the dignity out of this author, and for that, I laugh at their petty-brain-chowder. I don't need to think about it; I've tried the concept. Hell, I even took apart an old Genesis controller to make up for the "aesthetics".
Just know that some of these monkeys don't hold grounds to say the things that they're saying. And quite frankly, with regards to some of these morons, one would be better off worrying less about others laughing at their PSP, when they've got an asinine attitude that is a sure feature to mock and ridicule.

Joysticks 3 in a pack for $5.00 at Gamestop (an alternative joystick pad replacement for the stock one that comes with your psp), TJ10. If you can't afford that, then just ask your parents to get it for you for christmas.

Wait!!!! i've got a better idea. drill a hole in the other side of the psp (don't worry it won't break), then remove the anolog from ur ps2 controller and shove it into the hole that use just made. 100% guarantee that it works!
