Follow the steps below to easily install the Brando PSP screen protector. I did it in one try without alignment issues, dust, or air bubbles. The guide can help when installing other protectors as well.
1 Make sure your PSP is completely clean of dust, grime, and oil. You wont be able to remove them after you install the protector. If you get dust or lint on the sticky side of the protector, you can try and remove then with a tweezer.
2 Whatever you do, do NOT touch the sticky side of the protector. Your oils weaken the glue and there's a good chance of leaving a permanent fingerprint.
3 Find a good squeegie. Dont use credit cards with hard or rough edges The protector can be scratched or warped if you use too much pressure or something too hard. I found an old phone card which was made of really soft plastic. I would also recommend using a card stock business card.
4 Without removing the backing, align the protector on your PSP making sure that the buttons and the DPad fit properly.
5 You'll notice the backing is cut smaller on the left side than the right. While holding down the protector, remove the left side backing slowly and use the squeegie to stick the protector onto your PSP.
6 Check the alignment on the right side. If it looks crooked, repeat step 5.
7 With the left side stuck on, carefully wipe off any dust or oil on the right side again.
8 Hold the left side of the protector in place and slowly peel back the backing on the right side. As you peel it back, use the squeegie to apply the protector to your PSP. The slower you go, the less likely you'll get air bubbles.
9 Use light pressure and slowly push any bubbles out.
10 You're done. Save the backing in the plastic bag it came in incase you need to reapply the protector.

I bought a PSP case bundle that also came with a screen protector. I got as far as the instructions that said something like, "This protector may damage your screen..". Geesh - forget it.

also, i suggest doing this in a dust-free environment, such as a bathroom after just having taken a shower (a bit steamy). i already ruined a different kind of screen protector like this because of dust on the back of the sticky side. wearing a hat is also a good idea if you put gel or hairspray in your hair, or have a flakey scalp or something.

Some other good tips are:
* Wash your hands thoroughly --> this removes any oils that you might have.
* Also keep your hands away from your face, hair and what not, until you finish the installation (most ppl have the bad habit of touching their forehead, which usually has a good build up of oils, and they their finger tips have newly placed oil on them.)
* Get to it fast, but once you begin to lay it down, just take your time (no not forever) just think "ANALITY" (lol-seriously). This will allow you to see any little bubble that might try to develop. Allowing you WAAAAAY more than enough time to slightly pull back and place down correctly.
* If this is your second Screen Protector (that you will install)----> THEN DO NOT UNINSTALL so fast! Take a second and use a moist (KEYWORD: Moist) with maybe a teensy bit of soap suds and wipe down the PSP. This will remove any oils that had been placed there during normal game play. Of course, wipe it down when your finished and look around to see if there might have been spots you overlooked.
* One Screen Protector company (HORI) said to use tape to remove the screen protector. They stated that using a fingernail to remove your Screen Protector could damage your own screen and/or the Protector. I say read your instructions for the manufacturer your using and again, take your time so that you can see clearly anything that is happening.. Better to be safe than sorry.
Last Note: Some CHEAP-O Brand "X" type Screen Protectors have a cleaning cloth that does not seem to remove dust. I suggest you default directly to your PSP's own cleaning cloth. When you did the good wipe down, just leave the cloth on top of the screen so that you can do the last last one as you are about to place the new Protector. Since it will block any dust from landing directly on the screen.
