• If you're in last place near the finish line and there is a car in front of you, use a slip stream turbo (if you are out of nitrous) and try to steal the win.
• When going around turns tap R to make the turn without losing alot of speed.
• When you start a racem hold down "R" (Handbrake) and X (Gas), when the time reaches zero let go of "R" for faster acceleration.
• If your car is equiped with the special move "zone" and you have some in reserve and you are either going too fast to make a turn or might wreck on a sharp turn use "zone" you can make the turn or dodge a major crash.
• The people on the motorcycles are fast, but if you're in a car you can hit them and they fall off their bikes, a fun way to win.
• If you crash and are off course hold "R" and "X" and move the analog stick (left or right) for a quick turn around.
• In the air you can hit "L" and move the analog to change the direction of your car.
• While using the special move "Agros" you can hit cars into other racers and wipe them out good, it is hard to do for some but its like playin pool. Trying this may make you wreck if you can't drive. :D
• You can always use a special move to your advantage, when equipped with "Roar" use it for messing up other racers when they are beating you, and to save you from head-on collisions and such.
• The closer you are behind a racer the faster your "SlipStream Turbo" increases, so if you're directly behind a racer (bumper to bumper) you get it quuite quickly (a second or two).
• When you first get a car, get the "Golf 32". In my opinion this is the best for a long time. Get money, make it fast (well as fast as you can) and you have a fast enough car to beat many for awhile.
• Some races are very short and easy to win, with nice loot for winning, say a race is worth $4500, if you get second you get $1300. Do the race a few times and make sure you get second, this is a good way to make some quick needed money, cause once you get first the race is over.
• I found that speed is not always the key, you need your car to have good handling, you can tune your car (if needed) , when playing goto the menu (Start) and goto "Options" then "Tune Your Vehicle".
• Try to only use Nitrous on straightaways, this helps avoid crashes.
• When driving sometimes the arrow that guides you can be, in some ways misleading, so while driving use the HUD to QUICKLY find the fastest route, (keyword "QUICKLY" .
• It's always fun to goof around, you probably already tried this but, hit nitrous on a ramp, you FLLYY heheh.
• If you're not in first and a car in front of you is in sight, you can follow him and take the shortcuts he does to pass others, then pass him with the slipstream when you get the chance.
• Don't worry if you're losing. Other cars wreck all the time so try to save at least one nitro for the final "sprint" to finish. It's always good to have one before the finish line to do what you can to grab first.
Those are what I use and all I could think of at the moment, so I hope at least some of these helped you.
HUD is your speedometer in the game, slipstream is a boost that you get when you are directly behind another opponent and argos is a special move that you will eventually get for completing a certain mission.
Slipstream - Always available - All vehicles - Nitrus boost - meter filled by drafting opponents. Agro - Awarded in game - bigger body vehicles - Crash opponents/traffic away from you - meter filled by in race crash and nudging. Roar - Awarded in game - choppers and muscle cars - Blast opponents/traffic out of the way - meter filled by drifiting Zone - Awarded in game - performance tuners and imports - Bullet time that slows everything down - meter filled by driving without hitting anything.
