I just wanted to post a method of making logitech inlays that is a hell of a lot easier than the mods instructions. This is for photoshop and may work for other programs as well.
1) Open the template provided at top of page
2) Magic wand the white part and press control+J to jump the selection to it's own layer
3) Open whatever image you want inside the PSP template and drag it into the open template document. You may have to resize the image so hit control+T to get the free transform. If your image is huge and you can't see the edges of the transform box then hit control+0 (that's control+zero) and it will zoom out to show you all sides of the transform box.
Then simply drag one corner of the box while holding shift to constrain your picture to its natural shape and get it ready to go into the PSP template. Don't resize it to fit in the template though, just get it to a reasonable size.
4) This part sounds a little tricky if you've never done it but it's easy once you know where to look. We're going to create a clipping path
that will enable you to move your image around while keeping it only within the template. On the layers palette while holding down the alt key, move the mouse between the template layer and the layer with your intended picture and you will see your arrow change to something that looks like a hollow circle, filled black oval, and another slightly filled circle below that with a black arrow pointing to the left.
This is the sign that you are going to make a clipping path as soon as you click the mouse button, so go ahead and click it and you will will immediately see your picture become bound within the template layer. It is important that you have your picture layer above the template layer or this will not work how you want it to.
5) Now all you have to do is while making sure the picture layer is selected, simply drag your image around using the move tool on your document and it will stay inside the boundaries of the template.
6) Get everything working how you want and flatten your artwork. Nice, quick, and easy. And it allows you to maintain the editability if you decide you want something else there.
