I am really impressed with the case. I think it is a lot better than many other cases like the Playgear Pocket because it is much lighter and it adds barely any bulk but still protects it well. Also. It is one of the better looking cases because it is not too big and it has a nice design on the cover.
All ports on the PSP are usable while it is in the case except for the UMD slot but that's not a big problem. It even has cutouts for the two speakers on the bottom of the PSP which is very nice. The cover latch is simple and strong and it probably will not open after a fall which worries lots of people.
One big aspect of this case are the two magnets that hold the case upright as a stand for movie watching. Most reviews on this case mention that the magnets are too weak but they are definitely strong enough to hold it open even if the table it is on is shaking a bit.
The two memory stick slots are also a pleasant feature for this case. They will not scratch the screen because the the shape of the cover is slightly concave. The memory sticks will without question will not fall out of their slots unless you take them out.
Unlike the playgear pocket the PSP is firmly stuck in the case when opened and it will not fall out of the case if the cover opens for some reason. It is held securely with two supports on the sides of the PSP and one on the bottom. There is some kind of padded interior which also keeps friction between the PSP and the case and the padded interior is still soft enough to cushion a hard fall. This case could probably not survive a big fall but could save your PSP from smaller drops. Also there is a little loop on the back of the core case for a handstrap but I just use the wristwrap that comes with the PSP.
The only thing that bothered me about this case is that the hinge of the case is not stiff so when playing a game the cover will somewhat interfer with your fingers in the back but you get used to it after a while.
Overall this is a great case and definitely worth it only for $14.95 plus shipping. If you are still looking for a case you should consider this one.

Pros
I can't say enough good things about the CoreCase. It has a neoprene lining on the inside of the case to protect the PSP. It allows access to all functions while in the case except the UMD door. There are little cutouts for the bottom speaker holes, and a cut out that allows you to open the memory stick slot and replace the stick while in the case. The shoulder buttons are also usable while the case is closed. Another thing I like about the case better than the PGP is that it uses a small magnet to hold the lid open for use as a stand. My PGP's hinge has loosened over time and won't stand up anymore.
It is also a lot thinner than the PGP making it easier to carry in your pocket. Unlike the PGP the Corecase can store two memory sticks inside the lid. And don't worry about them scratching your screen because the lid is slightly convex so that the memory sticks are raised above the screen. Another thing you may not notice from the pictures is that there is a little loop built into the aluminum on the back so you can attach a hand or neck strap directly to the case.
Cons
The only con I can think of is that the magnet is maybe a little too weak. I stronger magnet would have helped the PSP stand up easier, however it's not a big deal. As long as you aren't moving it around a lot the magnet will have no problem holding the PSP up, and it will never wear out.
Last words
What makes this such a great case is that it's only $14.99. Shipping is $5 so that puts it at exacltly the price of the PGP and about half the price of the Capdase Lux, making this case one hell of a deal.
