Let's get straight to the point here; Akira is arguably the best Anime movie released. With an army of cult fans and a great team of artists this game deserves most of the fame it gets.
It's about a young man named Tetsuo who aquires spectacular power from a crazy accident. After the government experiements on him and keep him away from the public for his and Tokyo's safety he finally escapes to find something called Akira. Everyone talks of Akira but what is it? Tetsuo is not thinking straight and causing destruction and death wherever he goes and it's up to his old friend to stop him.
This is a very odd yet understandable film. Some may have to watch it a couple of times to truly get the storyline as it can be a little confusing to follow at times but the visuals and voice acting are perfect, sadly the lack of extra features that are available on the DVD version is a letdown but still a good movie to watch.
