But that is about it. I purchased this because I tried one and thought it was really a good piece of equipment. It protects the screen, but that is it. It is small, light, sturdy, and, I think, makes it look good (the black one at least).
However the problem with the screen armor is that it tries to hook onto that little ledge on the bottom of your PSP that is created from the middle of plastic, the one with the barcodes on it. Since it is an extremely small 'ledge' to hook onto, it hardly stays on! the bottom clip provides no force to hold it there, and as a result the bottom part doesn't hold onto the PSP at all! Since that takes away all functional use, I have to give it a poor rating.
This is probably the poorest quality item I have ever purchased. I bought it on a whim when the screen protector I wanted was out of stock. I only spent five minutes with it before discarding it. It wouldn't stay on very well and would slip off when I put it in my pocket (nearly scratching the screen, ironically enough). It has to be completely removed before playing games (does not flip up). Just when I thought I must be doing something wrong (nothing can suck this bad and be in such nice packaging) one of the tabs broke off.
I bought my Nyko Screen Armor and have been using it for 2 months. Before I bought this I had also purchased a metal Intec case for my PSP, but honestly I just use this and the sock that ships with the PSP. I have no problem getting it on or off, and anyone who finds this difficult is putting it on upside-down or doesn't know how to put a small rubber dimple in a hard plastic hole.
On the reverse of the Screen Armor is a black rubberish backing, with a thin outline of rubber near the outer edges that raises the rest of the Screen Armor a couple of millimetres from the screen. I love my Screen Armor, but I am starting to notice a smear left where this thin rubber rectangle makes contact with the PSP screen. I'm sure with a little elbow grease I can clean that off but otherwise my screen has remained scratch-free.
Thus, the only thing that I could suggest to Nyko on how to improve this product would be to move the rectangular rubber contact nearer to the outer edge of the screen.
I really like this cover, it protects the most important asset of the PSP, but it shouldn't be used just by itself. I use it and then put the PSP inside a larger "all-in-one" case to hold other things as well. The pocket that the PSP goes in has a zipper and rather than risk the zipper scratching the screen I use this. It's nice and thin so it does the job.
It doesnt make any sense at first I thought it was a clear screen protector when I got it it was totaly cheap metal and plastic. It is really hard to get off and doesnt make any sence do not buy this piece of crap.
This thing is 100% junk. Picked one up at EB last night --- It will not stay on at all and falls off as you try to put it on or take it off... You have to remove it to play games (can't flip it back out of the way and it would fall off anyway as the mounting nubs on either side of the USB port don't hold worth a damn).
If you have a case (and you should), this is useless.
PRO: Aluminum brushed metal looks cool.
CONS: Doesn't stay on, doesn't fit well over the screen, can't be left on during game play, could scratch your PSP if you fumble with it (and you will).
