This game is a pretty fantastic WWE product. The graphics are practicually Playstation 2's - which is a good sign. Anyone who buys this game will be very impressed with what the PSP can do with this game.

Playability
You will no doubt play this game many times over and over. There is just so much to do. A great feature for this game is: The Smackdown and Raw Stories. You have a voice over for your own character!

Load Times
This is a major thorn in the games side. You will have to wait minutes for a loading screen to go, and another few for your match. This is twice as bad in: Story Mode.

Graphics
Like I said, The games graphics are brilliant; the game will catch any PSP owner's eye. There is a small amount of glitches, some you will not notice.

Sound
This is a great feature aswell. You have all of the entrance music, and more soundtraxes - mostly made by an all time favourite Wrestler: John Cena. So if you like Rap, You'll love the music.

Overall Value
This game is worth its selected price. It lives up to its surpressor: Smackdown vs Raw 2006: Playstation 2 version.
I have had this game for a long time now, since I got a PSP. I have always played it. But Like many; The loading times will probably make you buy a pistol, and put it to your head, or even the system!

Whether or not you like wrestling games is irrelevent. This is one of the best games for PSP because it is in its entierty. It has everything that the PS2 version has minus two shoulder buttons and an analog stick. The only problem that arises from this is the lack of a button to change focus, because the PS2 version only uses one analog stick itself.

Gameplay
The gameplay is great, if you are a wrestling fan you'll note that it is the best wrestling game since No Mercy for 64. I keep hearing this but it is true, I loved No Mercy, and I don't think I liked a wrestling game this much since No Mercy. Every once in a while the game slows down, but with all the stuff its trying to do at once, you can hardly blame it.

Graphics
Although the PS2 version has more polygons, not much is sacrificed unless you pay real close attention. The introductions are in their entierty and the character models are accurate.

Sound
It's bad enough that John Cena is WWE Champion, that we can change, however, we are forced to listen to this guy's 'music' in the menus. This drags the score down considerably as the theme music and voice overs aren't really that bad.

Loadtimes
This too brings down the score. Like any other sports simulation, this game takes a while to load up all the things that it requires to go on. Titantron, the ring, the superstars, the audience, and it does it in a bearable time frame.

Overall
If you turn off the entrances and the menu music, this game loads bearably, sounds good, and looks polished for a portable wrestling game. If you need a new game for PSP that will keep you occupied, this is it.

The game is pretty decent.

Playability

The game has many match types, and instead of just a season mode where you play as a wrestler, there is a GM mode where you manage the show of your choice. There are some new match types, like bar brawl, buried alive, and fufill youre fantasy. The roster is pretty big with some legends to unlock, which you have to buy during the season mode. There is create a wrestler, create a title, create a move set, and create a stable which is like an alliance.

New Feautures

There are a few features such as Stamina, where as the match goes on and as you get hit/or attack you lose stamina. To regain stamine just hold select. Momentum is another feature, wherein the more attacks you do and the less you get hit you will gain momentum. When the momentum bar is full you receive a special move.

Load Times

The load times are ok. They are really only bad when you have entrances on cause it takes time to load each entrance and then the match. In the middle of the match sometimes there is a brief pause for like one or two seconds. The menus take very long to get to the next menu. When creating something it takes forever to load all the styles of clothes, hair, face, etc.

Graphics

The graphics are great for a wrestling game, and even better for a wrestling game on the PSP. There are some glitches, like missing the attack or getting hit from across the ring. Sometimes the computer gets stuck in corners or on top of a table.

Controls

The controls are pretty easy, and easy to get used to. There is one problem though, the lack of an R2 button, usually it switches focus to which wrestler you are attacking, but since the PSP has no R2 you might find yourself hitting the wrong guy.

Sound and Music

Almost all the tracks are by John Cena in this game and there are also some really good rock songs. The sound effects are pretty descent.

Mini Games

They're really boring and have no point such as Texas Hold' Em, Eugenes Airplane Race in which you have to balance Eugene (mentally slow wrestler) to the ring. There is also a game show which is trivia.

Overall Value

The game is long, fun and never gets boring, at least it hasn't for me. The mini-games are horrible but it's just an add on, so I can't really take off for that. It would have got a 100 if the loading wasn't as bad. Overall, great game! Great for wrestling fans and if you aren't into wrestling games then this will get you into it!

SvsR is an exciting new wrestling game that offers a variety of options such as General Manager mode, season mode, create a belt, and even a poker game which is really good.

The graphics and intros are beautiful and the soundtracks play very well along with the ring announcers. The gameplay is good but there are some issues when you are facing the wrong opponent and need to turn your focus. This is minor and still playable. The one big downfall of this game is the EXTENSIVE load times. It helps to turn off the intros in the menu screen but be prepared to wait.

All in all, this game is great for anyone who even remotely likes wrestling. And if you like poker then it's double the fun! IMHO a must buy!

Oh, did I forget to mention that you can play AdHoc against your friends and defend your created belt? An awesome idea!

The new Smackdown vs Raw features all the usual stuff and the storyline is still only for a year, it needs something special to make it break away and stand out from the past editions. Other than that though the game is brilliant the playability is excellent and lifespan is endless. The loading times are moderatly ok, I still think it needs to have commentary from good old J.R & the King, but the overall value is pretty much good.
