I bought this game mainly to play with friends because you can play against each other on the same system. The variety of weapons is smaller than that of the ps1 games so no holy hand grenades or concrete donkeys but the selection of weapons they chose are great. The game is easy to pick up so you can have fun playing with friends who have never played before and if you cannot find any friends you can enjoy an array of increasingly challenging challenge modes. You may not find yourself playing it for long periods of time but it never gets old if your like me and just play it on long bus or train journeys with friends now and again.

This is actually the first Worms game I have played and I wasnt dissapointed. The gameplay is fun and I havent got bored yet. THe weapons dont have just one use and can be used in many different ways. You can play multiplayer with just one PSP by creating a game with more than one human, up to 4. Over all I think this is an excellent turn game.

I have to say that the game is definately worth buying if you like the 2D Worms games. The game plays just like the computer versions, with a few less options.

Controls
The controls for the game are very good. You use the nub to control the camera. The left and right shoulder buttons are to zoom in and out. The Worms movement is controlled with the left and right directional buttons and the aiming is done with the up and down buttons. The triangle button sets the time for grenades and other explosives. The X button sets power and fires the weapons. The circle button brings up the weapon menu. The square button is jump, press once for forward and twice for the strong backflip. The controls actually work well and make the game easy to play.

Gameplay
The graphics are just what you would expect from a Worms game. The 2d board and Worms look good and the 3d background actually makes for a nice look. The load times are not too long. The sound is clear with the typical Worms music and Worms voices. You can set up your own teams and name your Worms. You can also set the game schemes, AI and weapons. It has most of the set up possibilities as the computer.

The game uses teams of four Worms for each game and you can use up to four teams in a game against the AI. The game does only have a limited number of the weapons available from the computer version. The biggest problem I found was that you can not tab to another worm, you have to use the Worm that is selected or lose your turn.

Overall
Overall the game is a great portable version of Worms. Anyone who is a fan of Worms and is looking for Worms on the go should get this game. For anyone who has not tried Worms this is a good version to start with, it represents the franchise well.

The game is disappointing. It's the same as a 16bit console version (ie, Sega, SNES).

You get only 22 weapons, including teleporter, rope, girder, skip go, surrender and jet pack, which leaves you with 16 weapons.
This is exactly the same lame set like the other (old) console versions.

The graphics are great. But I would never play any game just because of the graphics. Even my 9 year old brother who played WWP Online got bored after just 3 games.

I expected something like the N64 version but you won't get more than a remake of the old Gameboy version.
