Tales of Eternia is a traditional console-style RPG with some action elements during battle. If you've played any of the Tales games, for example Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube, then you should be quite familiar with the mechanics of this game. Tales of Eternia for the PSP is actually a port of the PS game of the same name that came out a few years ago in Japan.

I love this kind of RPG. Its got all the little funny bits and things that will keep you going for hours on end, without a bit to hold you back.
Fighting sometimes can get repetitive but like most RPG's it's to be expected.
100% for simply an excellent game.

I am so into RPG's I got this game before I got my PSP. I spent the first 4 hours going over and over through dungeon after dungeon to find that the main bad guy on the first level was actually just in the first forest. *sigh* Well my character is so buff now that it's really fun to go in and kick some monster booty. The maps are fairly simple to figure out, and the gameplay is awesome. I love the smoothness of the graphics. Though the wait time between maps is a tad long. I find that it was very worth the cost. As they say the price of freedom is born on the shoulders of the warrior. And this warrior is fighting for all he's worth.

For a person who havent played it on the PSOne I do truly think that its a fun game. Porting it over to the PSP was not a bad decision at all because it's giving me hours of fun although I can't read Japanese. I am a lover of RPGs and RPGs do make the longevity of the console alot longer. It is still amazing to see the PSOne capabilities on the PSP.
Worth the buy, cost me 299HKD @ Toys R Us (I'm in Hong Kong and its our Region 3 Version).
