Pop in NFL Street 2 Unleashed and you immediately get a sense of what the game is all about -- showing off, crazy plays, jukes, wall hurdles and then some. NFL Street offers a fresh perspective on a classic sport, and this PSP translation has an incredible assortment of gameplay modes that should keep any football fan happy.

This game has some good graphics, but the loading times are rrrrrrrrrrrreally SSLLOOWW. Also the music in the game sucks hard. If you ever buy this game I recomend you to be very patient with the loading, it's worth it as long as you turn the music down.

NFL Street2? Call it NFL Bugger2. This game is playable. But full of bugs, and glitches! EA made a real bugger with this. Great idea, but dev'd poorly.
Load times - 0
Slow... slow slow slow. Even when your making a player the game slows down. It's just slow.
Graphics - 100
Awesome, it truely shows off the power of the PSP. Looks, and feels like im playing off the PS2, or XBox console.
Sound - 60
Music was good, something for rockers, and rappers alike. Nice little sound track. Good "UMPF" sounds, and more.
Overall - 60
The gameplay is good, neat concept to football. BUT NO! its bugs are the worse, combined with the loading times. I hated starting a new game! Just because it would take too long.
You should just rent the Street, or buy the console version for PS2, or Xbox instead!

Ok, maybe "rejoice!" is a bit much but I honestly have to say I was quite pleased with this farce of a football game! Not only has it quenched my thirst for football it has kept me entertained by offering many different modes and types of gameplay.
For those of you who have played the NFL Street games before hearing this is probably nothing new. It's not groundbreaking or anything. You can create a player, modify teams and there's even a "party play" to take on others around you. The plethora of game modes is excellent and keeps you coming back for more. I enjoy playing quick games a lot but "Own The City" keeps you striving for more as you create a player and "leave your mark" on the city.
The artwork while loading, the animations, the controls... everything seems to be quite refined. Even the AI is pretty strong. Overall, I'd recommend this game to any fan of football. It's a fun, perfect way to play on a portable gaming system!

NFL street 2 unleashed seems to cover your needs for a football game on the psp before madden comes out later in the year. NFL Street has many games to play, such as street games (flies up, kill the carrier, etc.), playing a single game, or playing own the city just to name a few. Own the city is a mode that will keep you locked into the game. You work your way from the suburbs of a city, and will eventualy reach the downtown. On your way downtown, you will play teams from across the city, as well as pick-up games and street games.
The load times in nfl street aren't so great though. It takes about a minute to load a single game. The soundtrack could be better, featuring xzhibit and other various rappers and rock groups. Graphics are one of the best graphics I've seen on a psp game, matching its ps2 version.

1 of the first 2 initial titles I bought. The game is easy to pick up, fun to play and easy to beat. At least the "own the street" mode has been one easy ride for me.
If you are used to more "complex" football game like madden you'll get frustrated by the very thin playbook (from wich I only realy had to use 3 plays to win any game).
However for the casual football fan who like it rough and actionned packed there is a lot of fun to have.
Good point is the PSP has a few more levels than the console counter part. Impressive they can stack some extra stuff even if it's mobile.

I am a huge fan of the NFL Street series, and when I read that NFL Street 2 was being ported over to the psp I was so happy. When I saw a screenshot of it on a psp I was ecstatic. I could not believe that the people at EA had managed to do such a good job of recreating it, exactly like it is on a console, on the psp.
With it being, exactly like it is on a console, on the psp comes with some good and some bad. The bad is the load times, they are there, and they are roughly 45 seconds (i have not counted) between matches. At first it is horrible having to wait for the game to load up, but you get used to it, and accept it. What choice do you have anyway?
The load times are pretty much the only bad thing about this game that I can think of, everything else is great.
The main part of the game is the "own the city" mode; where you create a player and play mini games and small "pick up" games to recruit players to your team, and take on the city. The city is split up into around 4 areas, with each having 2 - 3 sub-areas. In these sub-areas there are a handful of events that you need to complete to move onwards. Events such as playing a pick up game, playing a mini-game, or playing a full game against another team. Winning these events lets you add players to your roster and earns you points that you can spend on clothing and stats for your player.
The graphics in the game are really good and the widescreen aspect ratio helps a lot since you can see the sides of the field and your receivers.
I would suggest this game to anyone who liked the NFL Street series, or to someone who is patiently waiting for Madden. You won't be disappointed.
