This case is by far the neatest UMD case out there. Although it isn't near as dark as the picture (its more of a translucent color, that was a let down), nor as small as I had thought (it is actually pretty bulky), it is a revolutionary case. I give it an 85.

This case is good to get if your just starting out and have only 3 or 4 games/movies. But the more you start to get you'll find this case getting in the way if you have other madcats equipment, such as the carrying case (highly recemend it, it's great, holds up to 8 memory sticks and many pockets for cases) and the mad cats stealth case. soon you'll want to find it another place and you'll start getting anoyed at it. Buyt again, get if just starting out, you'll need it.

This case is cool. It uses magnets to hold the UMDs onto little arms, you then slide the whole arm assembly along a track, and it pulls all the arms together and slides everything into the case. It's very cool.

The only drawback I see to it is that there are open areas. There is a chance, slight as it is, that if you had sand or something abrasive in your pocket, the sand could possibly get into the case and then into the UMD window, and then when your UMD started to spin, it would scratch itself up.

Since UMDs are expensive, I tend to be very protective of them. I would rather have a CD binder / Minidisk binder type of solution. Just to be sure nothing could happen to them.

But for wanting to keep a few UMDs in your bag, pocket, car, mailbox, medicine cabinet, knitting basket, etc... then this is a great solution. Nice and compact and astetically cool to use. I just wouldn't take it to the beach. Just to be safe.

The UMD Magazine by MadCatz, capable of holding four discs, is without a doubt the most innovative case we've ever seen. The see-through case houses a cylindrical grey object with 4 tentacles.

Build quality is great. The unit is available in a see-through white as well as a black version. To use the UMD Magazine you slide the cylinder out to reveal the tentacles, each of which has a circular magnet (covered in grey plastic). To hold the UMD's you simply put the disc's center onto the magnet. Slide the cylinder down and the cases are stored securely. Airspace is fairly tight so there shouldn't be much dust getting in. This is a very unique case but it works surprisingly well.

MadCatz has announced that the case will be sold separately for around $9 USD and in accessory packages.
