This has to be one of the best games I have played for any platform. It has an amazing combination or fighting and survial when your out hunting. One of the many many things that this game has is, that your can make new armor for what you mine or what you kill and the same goes for weapons. And after you have made a new weapon you can upgrade it to suit your fighting style wether that be sit back and blow the hell out of it for a distance by adding a sight to ur cross bow, or get up close and personal and rip them to pieces by maing your close combat wepon more powerfull without upgrading you are doomed to an early grave, the only way to move forward in this game is to upgrade. When upgrading your weapons you can add attributes like Poison or paralysis, these can become very usefull for your attack style.
But there can also be the problem of trying to find the right items to upgrade your wepons or make new armor, it can become time consuming and frustrating. The farm idea has to be a good one it helps you get what you want for upgrading. There is also the training school that helps train you, this is by making it harder to kill the big monsters so that you learn how to use tactics to kill. There is alot more that I could add bout this game but it might ruin it for people who havent played it so go and buy it NOW.

When I first heard that Monster Hunter was coming out for the PSP I was exited, I thought it would be a great game to have on the go.
It does have a steep learning curve and the game itself does take alot of time just to get everything you need to fight one of the wyverns, and the first monster that will really attack you back will be a pain unless you have gotten your armor all to a good defense and your wepon to a higher level, but none the less it is a very addicting game.
I love it but somtimes it gets on my nerves when you get stuck on a quest. I like how they have th farm in the game, that made the game a little easier so you didn't have to go out and fight the monsters just to get ore or a sap plant to make bombs. I also liked the synthisising element. The only other problems I had was when you attack, somtimes the monster moves and you end up comboing the air.
All in all I really like the game even with its problems.
