There Logitech goes again, having to innovate and made another great product. While everyone focuses on flimsy and insanely finicky screen protectors, Logitech has come out with a dead-simple but ultra-functional screen protector called the Playgear Visor. All's well except for one glaring inconvenience which keeps the Visor from being a perfect product, although it is above and beyond any other screen protector available today. ...
This product is a decent one. Goes on painlessly and comes off just as easy. Leaves no scratches on the screen. My only complaint is that this is not compatible with the Playgear Pocket. It also collects scratches fairly easily. But if you're just looking for a screen protector this is the best I've come across so far. The only better solution is buying The Invisible Shield for your PSP's screen.
The official review really says it all: aside from the hard case issue, you can't find better screen protection. Once you snap this hauberk on your PSP, those flim-like screen "guards" seem ridiculous and flimsy.
I have a zipped, semi-hard Pelican Travel case, and the Visor stays on my PSP all the time, with no problems.
As some have said, it is polycarbonate, and it will scratch. But every scratch, gouge, nick or line on the Visor is one that would have been on your PSP otherwise.
I have this visor, it does not impair the visibility on the PSP, however, you cannot store your PSP in the Logitech Street or the PlayGear Pocket -- it will go in with a squeeze but unlocking the case gets a bit tricky. I can definetly confirm this from experience, Logitech will tell you the same if you phone their help line. It is a good screen protector and will go in the slip pocket made by sony, which is how I carry my PSP on occassions.
This screen protector is like no other, no air bubbles best clarity EVER. And it's easy to clip on and off! Not to mention, it is very styilish and dosen't scratch the screen like people say.
Logitech's Playgear Visor is an easy to use polycarbonate screen for the PSP at a low price. What you will notice first is that the visor is indeed a lot thicker than the average screen protector and will not fit into some cases.
Applying the screen protector has never been easier. Within a few seconds it snaps to the PSP while still keeping the USB port and the UMD drive accessible.
While using the PSP I didn't notice more screen glare than without the Playgear Visor. At the first glance it looks like the Playgear Visor has no downside. However this isn't true.
There is still some space between the PSP screen and the Playgear Visor wich makes it very easy for dust to sneak on the the screen and makes it necessary to regularily take the Playgear Visor off and remove the dust which is a frustrating job.
I still get scratches on my PSP screen and I don't know where they come from, I had the visor on my PSP from the second I took it out of the Value Pack. It might result from the dust particles between screen and Visor or more likely from the ability of the visor to still slide a little to the either side on its lower end wich isn't fixed to the PSP. The scratches might also result from Sony's screen wipe and the generally non scratch resistant PSP screen.
What I personally dislike most is that the PSP won't really fit into the softcase with the visor applied.
Overall I give it a solid 80. It's a good product for those who don't want to mess with a protective filter but nothing really satisfying for me personally.
This is a really simple yet effective screen protector. It protects the screen from minor scratches. the only thing(s) I do not like about it is that it gets easliy scratched and smudges and finger prints show. All in all its a good screen protector. By the way you must clean under it once in a while because some materials get underneath it, and if dust gets underneath the visor may scratch your PSP.
Once again logitech delievers a nice product. This screen protector clips onto your PSP using the to screw holes in the top (it snaps into them opposed to screwing in) and wraps around the bottom to hold itself on.
It was easy to clean the PSP screen and make sure there was no dust under there as the Visor clips on. Since it goes on and off so easily, you can fiddle with it until it is perfect.
There is no distortion in picture quality. The only noticable difference is your reflection when the PSP is off. You can sort of see a double image, where you are getting a reflection off the PSP screen and the Visor.
When the PSP is on, it is completly clear and you cant tell it's there. Made from a polycarbonate material, it is strong and tough, so gouge away at your screen with this baby on. It's well protected.
The Visor has a slim form factor so it will still fit in the PSP softcase as well as many others. However, with this on, it will not fit in the Playgear Pocket (which was stated somewhere on the materials).
I recommend this protector because it has no adhesives to worry about, is easily removable and reusable, and stands up to the quality of Logitech.
This is such a nice product! Downside is that it doesn't fit in the PGP but is so much easier than the film screen protectors! The polycarb does scratch but hey, better that than my beautiful screen! Also at 5 English pounds it's actually cheaper than buying a Hori film protector!
