Logitech is without a doubt one of the most popular PSP accessory manufacturers on the market. There is a strong focus on using great materials and not cutting corners. The Playgear Street, a unique messenger-style bag/case, is no exception. Capable of holding 3 UMD's, 4 Memory Sticks and your PSP, this isn't your typical case. ...
This has four types of cases in one - pouch, game, music and all in one. Do not slam this because it seems a little big. It is intended to carry your PSP in safety. If you complain that you can't access the buttons its because its not a gaming case. It is very good with 3 UMD holders, thick rubber lining and four slots for memory stick duos although I don't know why you would have that many. I would not reccomend it for smaller people because at its smallest its kinda loose and I'm average-sized.
Pros
Very good protection
Good way to carry your PSP
Looks fairly attractive
Cons
Looks a little daft
Only holds PSP and media-not charger/game case.
Summary
If you do a bit of biking and walking around or want to chuck your PSP in your bag without worrying about it being damaged this is the case for you.
This could be a Heee-Ro to your PSP one day! For $30 you get a case that is sleek and holds 3 games. Can survive being run over by a SUV (what a review) and has a little crevice for the wire of the original PSP strap. You'll need it because the one it comes with is to big and makes you look like a nerd. So trust me, buy this case.
Ok so I have the Logitech Playgear Pocket and decided to upgrade to the Playgear Street and let me tell you it is worth it. Having had the Pocket before I even got my PSP gave me time to ponder the "what if...." possibilitys of what I would do to improve it and Logitec beat me to it. A clear polycarbonite lid with internal storage for 3 UMDs secured by an elastic band and a thick shock-proof silicon tray with four slots for memory sticks sit inside a matte black shell that when closed provides ample protection for the PSP. The locking mechanisim is very secure and won't open if rattled, jolted or dropped (tested empty of course) . The cable management in the shoulder strap is a nice addition and functions well.
Now for the bad news, It won't store anything else but the PSP, 3 UMDS and 4 mem cards. Those looking to stuff the AC adapter, ear buds and other things that you might want to carry with you, might want to look elsewhere. There is a port to access the headphone jack (and yes the remote jack will fit) and above that is a notch so the lanyard can be still on and poke out. but there is no access to the AC jack and none for the USB as well. So if you wanted to keep it in the case to charge and swap files via USB, you would have to either take it out or kinda leave it in with the cables attached. I would imagine (and will probably try) that it could be modded to have these ports put in for access while the case is closed.
It comes with adjustable strap and a caribiner to attach to a backpack or what have you and an instruction pamphlet.
Pros
Closer to your body for protection
Can be worn
Stores 3 games/movies and 4 mem cards
Sturdy construction, lots of protection
Headphone jack access
Cons
Heavier than Playgear Pocket
Cannot store AC adapter, ear buds or other accessories
No access to USB or AC jack while closed
This is an awsome case because it holds three UMD's and four Memory Sticks. It is like a mini backpack for the PSP, so it is a little big but if you keep it for a day or two you'll get used to it. And like what captain said, there IS room for the duo slots so why not? It does provide great protection. I did a little experiment by dropping it from my two story house on to the cement and nothing happened to the PSP. It's great, get it today!
I have been debating on buying a case since I bought the PSP back in March. Other cases have either been too ugly, too expensive, or too bulky for handheld use. I finally stumbled upon this in a store and realized that I needed this for my daily commute to work.
Until now I have been loosely carrying my PSP in my Kenneth Cole bag. But the Logitech PG Street provides the necessary support to keep it from shaking around. It has sufficient space for my movies/games and memory sticks, and it sits really well when I am watching movies.
I say it isn't for everyone because removing it for constant gameplay is somewhat annoying, but I listen to music and watch movies to and from work, so this is the ideal case for me.
I was not happy with this product at all. I found it to big and bulky. The button for the door seems to be on the wrong side. I also found it akward to use the headphones with this product.
I don't think the extra four Memory stick spots were necessary which added to the overall bulk of the product.
I recieved this case as a gift and so far it has been great. I am not sure I like the UMD slots for two reasons. The elastic band is held down by metal loop things and there are only 3 slots. I love my PSP and the metal loop things are right above the screen so I just put the cleaning cloth over the screen when I put it in the case. The only thing I find disapointing is that you can't store your headphones or the remote inside the case. Instead of using all the space for the memory sticks they should have made a compartment for your other things like headphones.
This case is great, I'm not sure if I'd ever actually wear it, but the case itself is almost flawless. One small complaint, no charging access, and I can't play it while it's in there. Having said that, I feel like I don't need to buy anything else for my PSP other then the Playgear Street and Pocket. Using the two together and there shouldn't be a problem keeping your PSP from harm. Just get it and thank me later
Of all the cases that I have bought for my portable devices this has to be the cream of the crop. Lemme list what I think are the best features of the Logitech Playgear Street case.
UMD Storage - Lets you hold up to three UMD discs and is very easy to take them out/ put them in, and it does not harm the precious opening on the disc either.
Memory Stick Duo storage - Gives you four slots to put your collection of movies, game saves, and audio files neatly and safely.
Headphone jack opening - gives you an opening feed your headphones and or remote.
The one disadvantage is that it has no way of securing your PSP while the case is open. Overall I highly recommend this case to anyone who is tired of having to carry everything around separately.
