The only thing I found missing is that the Audio jack on the Movie Dock does NOT support the PSP A/V Component cable.
It would have been *sweet* if it did, but since is doesn't, its just a nice stand to hold the PSP while watching movies.
remote did not work out of the package or any of the controls on the dock it self. The poor sounding speakers and charging system works which you do not need. The only good use is it makes it hands free for viewing if you can handle the poor sound.
Ok so I got this thing. It was cool at first but then the remote stoped working after the 2nd day. I decided to take it back to ebg then they gave me a hard time saying I couldn't get my money back because it was opened. After about 10 mins the dude finally caved after I threatened to call the regional manager. So if you plan on getting one check the return policy so you dont get stuck in a situation like I did.
I got the NakiWorld Movie Dock delivered today and right out of the box the remote does not function.
The unit itself is pretty solid and well-made. It does not include a charging cord, but the stock PSP charging cable plugs into the unit, which passes the charge along to the PSP, and powers the built-in speakers. The unit's speakers are actually worse than the PSPs impressive built-in woofers. It is no louder than the PSP, about the same volume, and in fact distorts at full volume. At lower volumes the Movie Dock sounds tinny and cheap.
I bought the Movie Dock so I could mount the PSP on the dash of my car and run it to the stereo system to play MP3s. The remote was enticing for obvious safety and convenience reasons, so you can imagine my disappointment when the remote didn't function right from the start. I can tell that the remote is sending a signal by looking at it through a camcorder. Most modern camcorders record infrared light, and that is what most remotes transmit, so you can aim a remote at a camcorder and see it shining like a flashlight when you push a button and look through the camcorder. So for some reason, the base is not picking up the signal from the remote.
Maybe I just got a lemon, but that is my first impression so there you have it. I'll have to send this back now and wait for a replacement, hope that fixes things.
It's the worse thing Ive ever seen. I have the same problems as someone else. Speakers pop, remote does not work and the 360 degree is bull. The only time this turns a 360, is when you turn the whole thing around with your hand. Complete garbage! Don't think they even tested these things, they just threw them in the packge and slapped $30 on it. What a let down!
