This movie is amazing and coming from the makers of final fantasy you can geuss that the graphics are nothing short of excellent. The sound is really good but it really enhances this movie if you have some kind of headphones or earbuds (even better). The story is complete and utter crap but I wont reveal it because if you're reading this review you probably havent seen it yet. This is a definite buy if you dont pay attention to the story and just watch the action.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the perfect way to complete the story, as well as make up for the error that was "The Spirits Within". Personally the story could have been done a bit more meticulously, but the execution of the existing plot is flawless. Scene transitions from present day Midgar to flashbacks of Meteor to the destroyed Midgar Cannon the bewildering transformation of Kadaj to Sephiroth are all beautifully done. Even a Shakespearesque comic relief is implemented in the chapel as a familiar tune echos in the air as the fight scene between Tifa and Loz ends.
Any fan of FFVII will recognize various characters, scenery and landmarks from the game. Each character is beautifully crafted, and Square made sure an appropriate entrance did each character justice. (Just wait til you see how Vincent enters the movie, you'll crap yourself) From Cid's decent from the skies to the dark figure of Vincent (once again, worth crapping your pants and feeling no remorse over it).
The highlight of the movie personally, wasn't the fight with Sephiroth. Near the middle of the movie, the cloaked figure in the wheelchair (if you don't already know, I wont spoil it here, but PM me and I'll tell you) angers Kadaj the lead gang member who summons Bahamot. Bahamot then begins to attack Midgar mercilessly.
Without a doubt, Advent Children is going to be a movie video game fans will be telling their grandchildren about. I know I will.

The graphics still amaze me every time I watch it, and I've re-watched it at least 30 times. I love this movie, the fast-paced action scenes are done so exremely good. In fact they are done just fast enough that you can tell whats happening but it still looks very fast. This movie is definitly worth getting.
The plot itself I wasnt too crazy of, but what do you expect from a video game. It didn't affect the overall movie value at all. However they better not sub this movie, because I'm sure the subs will suck, the japanese voice acting is suberb however.
If you never played FF7 (which I actually havent but have been planning to) you will still greatly enjoy this movie and most likely understand everything hats going on and why.
Overall, this movie is extremely awsome, and you are crazy not to get it!

Final Fantasy Advent Children is the example of an excelent movie. It doesn't consist of real people but just like the previous Final Fantasy movie features 3D characters. What makes this a good movie is that it doesnt consist of you playing the game to get into the movie and lets you know what's going on.
This movie was an absolute action filled game from the mid beginning of the movie to the very end which is pretty good. All of your favorite characters you have known and loved come back to make an appearance. Some had smaller parts than others but it was still very fullfilling to see them. The characters within the movie looked ridiculously good.
Overall, this movie has a strong plot, crazy graphics, action packed, good entertainment fun. If you want a movie to hold on to in 2006 and beyond then do yourself the extreme pleasure and favor of picking this movie out on release of an English version. But if you're ready to jump out of your seat and want it right now, then go grab yourself a JPN version with English subtitles. Either way you still win in this situation.
