Decent movie and great special effects that are really brought to life on the PSP widescreen. Awesome menu setup, but no Extras, I think it's time for some formal complaints to Columbia and Sony.

The "Previews" section only had one preview and it was for XXX. At least that's how it was on my copy. This one reaches my 'No Extras Limit' too because I do like the movie.

Got it off Ebay for GBP12.50, fairly good deal if you ask me. Yes, I am a fan of these comic super-hero movies, and I am very pleased to say Hellboy is a superbly made film.

But ok, one can read a review of the film from elsewhere. How does the movie play on the PSP? One word for it: SUPERB.

The menus are rather limited like the Spiderman2 UMD movie, but the picture quality and playback has been excellent. I highly recommend this one, I dont have the DVD movie to compare it with but if you are a fan of comic super-heros and enjoyed the film -get it! Plus this is one of the better UMD movies available in the market!

Why only 85/100? they could do more like extras such as movie index, trailers or mini documentaries.

Normally, movies based on old action/comic heroes are either pretty nice (Batman) or pretty...well, ugh (Spiderman 2). Given how bleh the recent movies have been, Hellboy is suprisingly good, even for someone who had not heard of the comic book until the movie made references to the comics.

Basic plot seems to be a common one of late (ie - League of Extrordinary Gentlemen, Van Helsing): secret organizations seek to keep world peace/safe. In this case, Hellboy is seeking to keep an extradimensional being from being allowed into our world, creating an apocalypse only dreamed/dreaded.

The effects are really spectacular, and actually look good on the PSP. Ignore the Spiderman 2 disk - rarely does the movie blur, and rarely does it look fuzzy.

If you like action movies a la James Bond (especially with one-liners) or have a taste for something "retro," Hellboy is a good offering to slake your thirst.

On a side note, I did buy this after my parents bought me the DVD for my birthday, so that I could watch it wherever I went. It was worth it.

All I can say is that the only problem is that there's no freakin' scene selection! Great movie, awe3some resolution, I love it!
