Shortly after we began reviewing the SanDisk 512MB Memory Stick PRO Duo (PRO Duo), the company came out with it's line of gaming line. Being the only portable gaming device that makes use of the PRO Duo format, the Sony PSP is the obvious target for this new line of sticks that are available in 4 capacities and 4 colours. The 128MB is Pink, the 256MB is Orange, 512MB is Green and the 1GB is Yellow.

"It is freaking green, awesome!" was the first thing I said. The card is very high quality and durable. Read/write speed are the fastest on the market. I say go for it.

The only thing that a memory stick duo can really be graded on is performance. There are no graphics to critisize; no storyline to sneer at. So, keeping this in mind, and also remembering that there is really no innovation to be had in this type of product, I can only say that this is perfect. Although, beside performance, you could also take into consideration the value of it. For now, the price is also perfect. I bought this for the same price that I could buy an expensive game for ($50), and I can honestly say that it is well worth it. My primary reason for this purchase was to listen to music, and the music comes out perfectly, the same way it would on a CD, which is exactly what I expected. So, in conclusion, I deem this a worthy purchase, but only if it's what you're looking for. Otherwise, it's bound to have to much space.

This is the pefect size memory card for me. I love to have a movie on the go with me always. And the memory is just big enough so that I can have 1 movie (2hrs) and one television show (45 min) in good quality; or I could have 1 movie in DVD quality, I usually go with the latter. I would def. reccomend getting this b/c Memory stick duo prices are goin down!

I am very happy with my purchase! It does everything you would expect it to do. Its the same thing as the Sony and it costs less, so it is a win win situation. Maybe now I will be able to experience the PSP as it was meant to be.

I can't stop downloading onto my PSP. This card gives you loads of great opportunities to expand your PSP to its maximum level!

The Sandisk 1GB pro duo card is a definute buy! My advice to people would be to get a memory card bigger than 512 MB if you want to experience the full power of the PSP.

This was a great buy for me. I never had an iPod or portable DVD player but this turns my PSP into both. It has an extremely fast transfer rate and since I use the Atrac 3 Plus format I can fit about 200 songs on it, as well as have more space. The transfer was fast with about 2 albums in under a minute. The movies that I converted fit easily on this and I can watch 2 with my music with a certain quality. The great thing about this is that you can store your music and your video and can back up your data right off the memory stick. If you're thinking of buying a memory stick this is a great buy, also consider the 2GB model.

This is deffinately something most PSP owners should get. A 1GB Memory Stick for all those music, movie and image files you want to upload onto your trusty PSP.
It's not official Sony merchandise but SanDisk have still made a worthy Memory Stick even though they are third party. As for the price it's not too shabby, you can get a good deal at most stores for it.

Perhaps it was because I was stuck with the included 32 megabyte memory stick for so long that I was so amazed at how much one gigabyte really was. Maybe it was going from 3 MP3's, 5 pictures, and 1 movie, to 15 MP3s, 40 pictures, and 5 movies that amazed me about how much one gigabyte really was. Whatever your story is, get the SanDisk 1GB Memory stick. 50 songs is a lot better than 10, especially when you've still got another 650 megabytes to go! You'll appreciate every penny spent.

I love this product! I can put all my media on my PSP. Trust me when I say you need atleast a 1GB memory stick to fully enjoy your PSP. It is just what you need to watch that favorite movie on your Godly and Almighty PSP.

This thing has the best storage that you can buy within reason. You can fit a LOAD of stuff on, and it increases your PSP's capabilities exponentially. Better value than any other memory stick. I can fit several full length movies in addition to my game saves and a whole load of songs.

I reviewed the 512 mb MS Duo, and specifically noted that it is indeed the perfect size. That was, until I met my 1GB memory stick.
Personally, I believe that 512 is still the perfect size for anyone and everyone. It's the perfect price, and perfect size. The 1GB model is more than perfect. It's simply a luxury.
512 megabytes got me a ton of my favorite TV shows and songs and photos with much room to spare. 1GB, well, doubles this. And it does it with great speed as well. It's pretty fast, but again, the real appeal here is the super amount of storage.
I'd reccomend this for anyone who has the money. Go for 1 GB over 512, simply because it's more than perfect. The only complaint I have is the gaudy clear yellowness, but nobody sees it anyways.

What can I say? This memory stick is great! If you want to own a top of the line 1Gb memory stick - I can recommend this one. And the yellowish colour is pretty striking

Games, music, video that is the reason you bought a PSP. Until you get this you will be lacking the full functionality. Sandisk offers better transfer rate than Sony. I have not seen the new Lexmark cards yet but so far Sandisk is the fastest. Only negative I could think of is that you may want 2 GB because you are greedy.

I really like it because it holds a ton of game saves and music!

If you want to be able to take a lot of music, movies, and pictures with you wherever you go, then this is the card for you. I have many movies on my card, along with a bunch of songs and wallpapers. There is enough space for 3 or 4 legally ripped DVDs. Probably about 300 songs, and a whole bunch of pictures. Not to mention game saves and content downloads.
The transfer and access rates are very good, faster than the Sony brand cards. You can't beat the price either. About $100 for 1GB is a good deal. The card comes with a plastic case for protection. I recommend this for everybody who wants to do everything with their PSP.

Great product from SanDisk, can't wait for the 2 GB Memory Stick.

Nice and fast tranfers, hefty cost but works well with the PSP. IGN.com reviewed it with the competing Sony card and Sandisk came up on top.

This is an essential for the PSP, although the one I bought technically isn't the gaming edition, they are really about the same. There's not really much about it that you can review except it expands your PSP 'experience' greatly, meaning you can get great stuff on it. Right now I have the Empire Strikes Back, a load of music and other stuff. Finally, it's worth noting that the Sandisk memory cards beat even the Sony hi-speed pro duos in a test by gamespot. This is definitely the thing to get if you have the money to buy it.

Must have if you own a PSP

Sankisk's cards are faster and less expensive than sony's. Plus, the color is sweet!

Before getting my 1GB MS Duo Pro, I was using my PSP far less often. Now I can load up movies and music. It has expanded the 'value' of the PSP significantly.
The speed of the memory seems faster than the 32MB card that comes with the PSP value pack.
Don't settle for a 512MB one. You'll soon feel that its not enough space for the things you want to store on it. It's worth the money to just get the 1GB.

If youre planning on watching movies on you PSP, dont use your money on UMD discs but save up for one of these. They are great you can fit 1-3 movies in ok quality or you can do use it for multiple things like music and photos too.
Right now on my Duo Pro card I have:
Spiderman(1) the full movie.
Star Wars Episode III trailer
Kylie Minouge Spinning Around
The full Star Wars Episode III soundtrack
About 30 songs and I still have over 150mb left.
It is a litlle expensive, but you wont regret buying it.
