Ok, I picked this up just because it was the only $30 dollar game. The only Frogger game I had played before was the one for PS1. I was expecting the same and I was wrong.

The game is a 3D platformer.

Story
The story is where this game loses points. It reminds me of a childrens book, which I guess would be on the mark as that is mainly the target audience (even though this game is HARD). Every time you complete a level, you will get another part of the story, which is told by cartoony pictures and voice acting.

Controls
The controls were almost good, considering that most of the time you use the D-pad and move up, down, left, and right. The only thing I really disliked was turning using the shoulder buttons. This made things difficult, since the camera is fixed. The are button would sometimes make you turn left and vice versa. This got very annoying when the platforms break every few seconds and you turn the wrong way and fall in the water and die (I always thought frogs could swim?).

Graphics
The graphics are very nicely done, everything looks extremely smooth. The levels are also very colorful, they look very cartoony but excellent nonetheless.

Sound
Nothing spectacular here. Even though the sound does fit very will with the kiddie-like feel of the game. There is also voice acting, which is pretty bad. It gets annoying fast, I found myself constantly turning the volume down.

Overall
The game is very childlike with nothing too extraordinary. But don't let that fool you as it is very challenging. The controls are a little clanky. And the sound at times gets very annoying. The standout part of the game would have to be the graphics, which are very smooth. I would suggest you rent the game before you buy it, unless you're looking for a cheap 3D platformer to round out your collection.
